Who believes that Marbury's loss will be a catalyst for him to 1) put his ego aside for the betterment of the team and 2) lessen the resentment and animosity his teammates have for him
yes.
no.
It will only humble Marbury.
It will bring the team closer, but Marbury is Marbury and he will never get with the program.

So why call Darren a loser? He was just saying the same thing, although he doesn't think they will, and I'm not sure you do either.

"... the world and especially, the NBA does not stop for the death of the father of the most unpopular player in the league."

blueseats - any opinion that takes the opportunity of a parents death to bash Marbury one more time is totally worthless in my opinion

... or, as in the case of the Chritian Red piece, to immediately presume some relationship between player harmony/performance and such a tragic loss, just one day after the event, is self-serving, inappropriate and irrelevant.

New York sports writers are a sorry lot that is living on the reputations of former journalists who actually knew what they were doing

there are few exceptions

Yet you are the one who keeps referencing the brawl as a catalyst for improvement.

Here, it's actually you who is trying to create scandal where there is none. For instance, you post and reference the Christian Red piece and say:

HEADLINE: "Knick players feel Don Marbury's death can lead to team unity"

(nowhere, NOWHERE did any Knicks player say that)

But right in the article we see this:

"This year's been up and down for us, but this just makes our team tighter. Everybody's got to come together," Randolph said.

And I'd say it's pretty good odds that if someone wrote that they expected the loss of Don Marbury to send the team into a downward spiral you'd counter that, like vultures, they're feasting on despair and the loss could pull them together.

Me thinks you're just stirring the pot with no real purpose but to complain about everybody but the Knicks.

blueseats - if nobody stirred the pot all you would have is a stale pot of gumbo with all the best ingredients stuck at the bottom

complainin' ain't my ting mon but if you read carefully what Z said it offers an angle that the players are already tight.

Zach said "This year's been up and down for us, but this just makes our team tighter."

A journalists includes it in a positively spun article (which you beg for time and again. Rememeber your term, "Creative Journalism") titled:

"Knick players feel Don Marbury's death can lead to team unity"

And you tell Cosmic that title makes you sick.

What the hell are you going on about? Do you even know?

Mercy

I think Marbury's teammates' actions speak to the character of the team. Marbury suffered a tremendous loss and they were all there for him. This may have a positive impact on the court. I know that I feel differently about all of them. I have alot more respect and I also feel differently about Marbury. The death of a parent is a huge thing and while it may not change the team and I am sure that it will change Stephon. My guess is that there will be a big decline in the strange interviews where questions are answered without any thought. I have posted alot of very negative things about Stephon and I still wish he was not in charge of running the Knicks on the court. However, seeing him as a human and knowing the impact that his father's death has and will have for him has given me a new perspective
I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18
