as far as the shot blocking balkman chandler and morris can eleviate that problem if given the chance
they wont put up 7 blocks on thier own but they can block shots
Simple Bill Lee statistics. If we replaced Q Richardson with Josh Childress RIGHT NOW--we'd be 9-7 instead of 5-11. I look at the players skills but also take serious consideration into the numbers. Can Wilson Chandler give me 12-15 points shooting 50+ % and grab 5-6 rebounds right now. If he could he would be playing NOW. Wilson Chandler needs to PROVE what he can do. Josh Childress is YOUNG and proven. With longer athletes on the perimeter--the need for shotblocking will decrease.
My theory is put smart two-way % players[guys who shoot 50% and don't turn the ball over much + hit their FT and play D] all over the floor and good things will come out of it. I will live with some TO's from a superior frontcourt player but everyone else needs to be able to keep TO's down. I can't live with guys who shoot 40% or less--that's not in my game plan and while I know JC is a 40%< player IF I surround the other 4 positions with +50[or close to it] I will give JC one more year to get with it because he has the potential to be there--IF surrounded by better players I would expect JC to score less pass more[moree assists] and take good shots within a good flow. I think he can do it.
Guys like balkman Chandler morris are bench players to me until proven otherwise.
Get rid of Nate Jefferies Rose Q Rich Marbury and figure out what to do with Z and Ec at the end of the season--unless a deal to good to be true is handed to us at the deadline. I do NOT think Z+EC are a viable long term plan but I also will not sell cheap.
