Steph probably should go, but why does anyone think Crawford is even capable of pretending to be a point gaurd? BEcause he's thrown a few alley oops to Curry?

Because he pretty much runs the point for atleast half the game with marbury playing............

good Lord...they beat a bad Bucks team and now its we don't need Steph.

they don't win "3 of the last 4" without the play of Marbury in the first 2 wins.

I hope Steph gets traded. Thomas is a leech and has been throwing Steph under the bus since he and MSG have found that they can market Crawful enough to not feel the loss of the revenue Steph brought in.

it doesn't matter if the team only wins 33 games as long as in the home finale Crawful can play NY to a lower lottery pick and sign another sneaker for some fan he dazzled with a 30 point performance in a meaningless win

YOu got to be joking. We have been that team with with Marbury.

Getting rid of Marbury is addition by subtraction. He's such a negative presence that I really believe this will be a better team - maybe even a team that has fun playing basketball - without him. It's true that he's the best point guard on the team, but that is outweighed by his social shortcomings.

THIS IS RIGHT ON POINT...it doesn't matter...the negative outweighs the positive. And the collective attitude of the team is much more positive sans Marbury.

Interestingly, the Knicks are saying Marbury is a game-time decision/questionable while Senor Baldbury is saying he is DEFINITELY playing. We shall see.

If you are going to deactivate him then deactivate him.

will NY win more games sans Marbury...HIGHLY UNLIKELY. This is not Bellicheck/Parcaells benching Bledsoe for Brady/Romo. Crawful has been a starter in this league for the past 5 seasons and his decision making and ability to win ball games has been lottery team level.

Can't live with him, can't live without him, huh?

Philly deactivated TO, they've been a **** team since [while Dallas is a super bowl favorite] but hey they are happy...

Isiah traded for Starbury...backed Starbury against 2 HoF coaches...but now all of a sudden u want to change his game when u have to face him head on. I've been 1 of Steph's harshest critics but the fact Crawful has been allowed to dominate the ball and throw up **** shot after **** shot with no consequence has me in Steph's corner. At least with Steph, when he calls his own number the shot is usually a safe one 17 feet and in. Crawful goes trigger happy you get 28 footers 10 seconds into the shot clock.

So you are saying Marbury = TO. That's right on par. A bad teammate. A guy, when he is in a bad situation, is quick to jump ship, point fingers and rail on everyone.

McK1...Marbury apologists are SO two-years ago. Get with the program.

As for Jamal, at least his teammates like him and he is a respected guy. At least he can get in front of the crowd and apologize for a horrible performance against Boston. I would take Jamal, Fred or anyone that can resemble a PG at this point versus the negative, uninspriring, Marbury. I don't care what he is or was once was as a player...he is POISON to this team. AND EVERYONE KNOWS IT!

Send Marbury to Dallas and maybe the Mavs will win a championship. LOL. I would rather have Jeff Garcia lead the Knicks to the eighth spot.

heres an idea.

DEACTIVATE Steph

BENCH Crawford. who cares if his teammates like him - he doesn't play winning basketball. He should fry right along with Steph. Nate too.

Papabear Says

I don't mind getting rid of Marbs but not for Free!! We need to get real value for him. Just because you guys hate him that does not mean we give him away. If we don't get our value we keep him. We made the mistake of getting rid of Ewing-- remember?? We got nothing in return but a player no one else wanted. I am a Marbs fan and I thought he could change but people like him will never change and will never see thier faults. When the Knicks are winning and he is on the bench and they call a time out Marbs is the last man to shout for joy or try to give his team a boost. thats just the way Marbs is and he refuse to change and I think he can't change and thats a sad thing. Blame part of it during his high school days when all those New York reporters and his friend treated him like a King and blew up his head. They did the same thing in College. They make a Frankenstien and now they want to toss him under the truck.

I'm on board to get rid on Marbs because I think he has become such a distraction for the goals the team has for the season...That said, I knew this article was coming out as soon as the Knicks won against the Bucks with Marbury hurt...The press in this town is so predictable...

I am also amazed at how much informed fans( people in this forum), would bite this bait....We all have reason to hate Marbs for his antics here but to think the Knicks is a better team and will win if this guy is not on the court is just plain shortsighted...He has to go but please understand the Knicks will lose a lot of games in the process....

For as much as we watch the Knicks, do you guys really need beat writers to tell you whats best for the team...

pbear, just let him go. other teams in the league see his impact on this franchise and will only take him if they can pawn off "flawed talent" on us with longer mammoth contracts. and the beat goes on!

Yeah Marburys value is some where between uranium and plutonium. We are going to have to cut him.

steph should've been gone 2-3 years ago...but he's still here.

now he's the problem. isiah's spin job has everybody ready to lynch steph. steph made his choice to leave but it was isiah's to play him again. so who really should be the problem?

i hate steph as a player, always have. but he can be part of a winning situation if you put the right pieces around him. isiah did not do that. but this "steph has to go" stuff is getting crazy. the team is not a better one without steph in terms of wins and losses. steph is still the best guard, and i would venture to say still the best player. this team over the past 2 years without steph has a terrible win %. not to say it's great with steph, but it's even worse without him.

he was a huge part of the denver win.
he was a huge part of the utah win.
yet b/c of what happened in boston, and beating the mighty bucks, it's b/c of steph? i'm not buying it. steph didn't tell eddy to miss 10 point blank shots in boston. he also didn't tell zach to start 0-7. or jamal to watch rondo torch his ass for 6 straight points which set the tone of the game.

steph needs to go, but this notion of the team is gonna start winning is incorrect. the team is still structurally flawed. what removing steph does is turn the page and begin the healing process. but he's just one move. alot of other players need to go as well.

how did we beat milwuakee? 1-on-1 jamal hit shots. 1-on-1 fred jones hit shots. no "and 1's" from fred jones and we lose 10 of 12. there was no "teamwork" down the stretch of that game. there wasn't this "inspired" play. it was jamal getting hot - we've SEEN that game before a bunch of times.

I don't know if the team is suddenly gonna start winning, but I'd suddenly like the team a lot more.

There are fans who deserve not only more Steph, but more Isiah, Francis, Curry, Crawford and Zach too.
