the memphis grizzlies have 3 point guards, and the one I would love to steal from them is kyle lowry. He passes well, will pressure the hell out of the ball on defense and he will rebound, and is pretty good for his size....

lowry lowry lowry

definitely get this guy, tkf couldnt agree more.

calderon is nasty though, i think they'll look to deal ford b/c of his injury ?'s and try to get a 2. would larry hughes work in their system? would they deal ford for hughes and a first rounder? the cavs could use ford. jr smith and najera from the nuggets? who knows, but i could see ford moving.

Isiah is dumb he had the chance to get the kid and solve many of the knicks problems, but again had to show everyone how smart he is which has worked great so far. Picking second rounders in the first round is not a good strategy, no matter how much we like balkman....

To date I think you have to give Isiah a C in his drafting. Nate was not a good selection especially when you factor in he added richardson to do it, collins looks lost, frye was a disaster and lee and balkman are good role players.....

No passes because Layden didn't know what he was doing either

nate was above average, he is playing good backup PG these days. i think isiah's drafting is more like a B. don't forget ariza, who came late in the 2nd round. you can't really close the book on any of these guys they're all so young.

Most of the time you don't even get a Nate Caliber of player at 19 or 21 or wherever he was picked. You have to think about the context of hte NBA draft and historically how well guys who were picked after no.15 do. The depth of talent int he back of the draft has picked up in recent years, but Isiah has gotten above average returns out of all his picks save for Frye.

not for nothing but nate and pg should not be used in the same sentence unless "IS NOT A" is between them.

he is not a point guard.

he can score a little bit off the bench but our offense is not condusive to it.

nate's offense is inefficient: 36% from the field while only getting 2 assists in about 19 mins of action. those are not point guard #'s and those are bad guard numbers in general.

what he does do well is rebound for his size and hit an occasional open 3.

but he's not really helping this team.

"Jose's been playing good, so if I decided to play, it would kind of be selfish on my part to come in and try to start, so I think if I'm able to play, I would just fill his role (coming off the bench) and we would split minutes."

The two guards have never butted heads over who plays what role. And the last few games with Ford on the bench have shown what a luxury it is to have two strong point guards running the offence.

"We just picked up where we left off from last season," Ford said. "I think both guys improved a whole lot, and I think we both know how much we both mean to the team. We definitely put our egos to the side and definitely support one another. That's been the case since training camp."

Tonight against the Pacers he drops 16Dimes and 16Assisst and only 2TO's in 40min of play. Yeah he's getting paid.

true - his efficiency is disgusting. and his jumper is almost automatic.

raps down 17 in indiana in the 3rd, then end the game on an 18-0 run to win.

raps play boston on sunday, then go on a 7 game road trip (including a trip out west/midwest). that's a nutty schedule to end the year.

dj I told you about 20gms into the season the Raps would find their way and right now it appears to be so. Now will they lose their way that schedule will test them. Calderon I'm noticing is getting national recognition from telecasts of other games. More and more people are talking about him game after game. And LOL @ Knick fans plenty on this board goofing on the Kapono signing.

he's an 18% 3 pt shooter... do we really need another bricklayer to add to the Free Mason's roster we currently have?

Jose Calderon assist to T.O rate is 6-1

right now he has 190 assist with only 31 turnovers...now thats staggering!
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

he is a tremendous defender. we desperately need one at the PG. he's also a real PG, which we could also use.

if u wanna give up Nate, Mardy or Jones to get him, great... if the cost is gonna be giving up a double double guy like D Lee to get Lowry & add to the glut of G's we already have, i pass... same goes for Balkman.

Lowry is not worth Lee IMO. Now if they wanted Nate to add scoring or Collins, I would do that in a heartbeat and pay them $3 mill in cash as additional incentive. Calderon is exactly what we need at the pg position, but Toronto does not have a big enough need for a guy like Lee for them to trade Calderon straight up. I don't think we have one player on our team that they would need that could entice them to give up Calderon. Maybe Crawford because they don't have a creator off the dribble at the SG spot (T.J. Ford provides some of that but Parker is not a slasher). But we would have to make an offer of Crawford and Lee for Calderon and any bad contract that would make it work under the salary cap. Not sure if they would take that deal or if I would want to give up that much for Calderon, especially since we will have a shot at a pg in the draft.
