Calm down, why ya'll trying to punk out Earl?

So what, he's a glass half-full fan. What's good with all the animosity?

Even though the Knicks are down, it still doesn't justify a lot of the anti-Zeke vitriol that has dominated this board. Ish has gotten personal and childish. He's underachieved and deserves an ax, so did Larry Brown and a host of others. This whole decade has been a disaster.

Because he's an obnoxious glass half full "fan" who liked to ridicule real fans for seeing the warning signs way before the body was already cold and halfway in the ground.

He deserves what's going on and shouldn't be acting like the very deep rooted problems with this organization just popped up a few games ago.

Fans have been called haters for demanding changes. For demanding that someone put their foot down. So many names were thrown around that we almost had a war here. Now the team comes out and puts up the most embarrassing effort of our lives and those same fans that were slinging names are now saying that Isiah needs to put his foot down. I find that annoying.

It's comical. It's like that dim lightbulb finally went off and now those people want to act like nobody could have seen it coming until now.

Anyone know where RemBee is hiding? I'd like to hear what his thoughts are about where this team is now.

Change can be subtle

NEW YORK (AP) -- No questioning the Knicks' effort on this night.

Jamal Crawford made the go-ahead basket with 28 seconds left, and New York erased a 17-point deficit to beat the Milwaukee Bucks 91-88 on Friday.

One night after their coach accused them of quitting during a 104-59 loss in Boston, the Knicks surged back in the fourth quarter to win for the third time in four games.

Crawford and Zach Randolph led New York with 25 points apiece. Fred Jones provided a huge spark by scoring all of his 10 in the fourth quarter in place of Stephon Marbury, who had 13 points but left midway through the third quarter with a right shoulder muscle spasm.

Subtle Change

"I trusted my instincts tonight, went with a couple of guys and they delivered," Thomas said. "Just a gut feeling I had. "

In his best game as a Knick, Jones went 4-for-4 for 10 points, drove hard to the hole and didn't have a turnover. Jones also played stiff defense on Michael Redd (27 points), who went 2-for-8 in the fourth quarter.

Thomas also spotted in David Lee, who has been struggling to get minutes, at the right time for the abysmal Eddy Curry (seven points) with 7:50 left. Lee had five key rebounds down the stretch. Curry's starting job could be in jeopardy.

bippity - only the shadow...I mean, The Answer Man... knows...

Phoenix Suns Sunday Shift DuJour:

Fred Jones - he earned it, besides is there a more mundane name than Fred Jones? Fred Smith, CEO of FedEx?

Jamal Crawford - World B Free light can get hot if you give him the pill. Cool that he spoke up after Celtics game.

Q - 11 rebounds from a player with a bad back? Keep Jeffries and Balkman warm in the bullpen - just in case

Zach Randolph - does this mean I'm an idiot? I been called worse. No worries.

David Lee - if playing a 6'9 center was good enough for Dave Cowens...

I have no idea what you said, but if you said yes, I think Isiah will keep it up, then I will say, "I hope so".

If you said anything else, send me the translation later

We need to start looking at the reasons behind our inconsistency. Why is it that over the past 3 years the same core has followed up horrible losses with big wins. And great wins with horrible losses.

I have a theory. Everytime the Knicks have a big win they want a reward for their moral victory. The fans are happy with the win but will not be trusting until you get the record to where it's supposed to be. They do not trust you because you have done this to them before. The fans refuse to give you credit for yet another moral victory.

Unfortunately for the team, our organizational attitude has been wrong. We have constantly said "don't listen to the fans. They are idiots. They don't know what they are talking about. These NY fans are crazy, you guys done good". The team says "thank you. You are correct. We did do good. We don't need these fans to give us credit. We have each other. Then they let out a collective aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh. They relax and give us another stinker."

As Bip has said many times, and hopefully Isiah is learning(all those his post game shots at the media and fans show that he hasn't grasped the concept yet) is that this is the worst possible moment to let up on the team. To get this team to the level that most of us predicted in the pre-season we need to keep the pressure on. From the organization to the coaches to the fans the pressure must stay on. This team cannot be allowed to let up. No credit for moral victories. For the first time in 3 years it is time to get the record up to what the talent says

His full name is Frederick Terrell Jones.

I also learned this from his NBA bio page:
* He has a degree in sociology
* His hobbies include attending church and watching TV
