No matter what, Marbury ain't goin' out like no punk. Not in HIS city. No way.

That remains to be seen.

Not really. Marbury didn't suck that bad last season.

His season, warts and all, is just getting interesting and underway.

I'm not convinced Marbury's physically capable of playing the way he used to on a night to night basis anymore. It's been too few and far between for 2 seasons going on a 3rd now.

Add his horrible attitude into the equation and it makes it tough to believe he'll ever be the player we need him to be.

Even with his bad attitude he was a player good enough to win with for the first couple seasons he was here. We just didn't really have the roster to get more wins than whatever we did...but its more than what we've been winning now.

I agree with Marv. It's taken me awhile to come around and see it, but this happens nearly every year - Marbury is quite capable of playing well for a few games. He even did it during the LB era. But Marbury always ends by doing this to us:

I think this sums up everything.

Everytime a guy has 1 or 2 good games we claim they've turned the corner. I would prefer that a guy actually turns the corner before they get credit. Give me the rest of the year playing like this and then we will no longer have to debate it. For once I'd like a player to just do it

WOW! I have been angry with Steph for his play and antics, but I wouldn't go this far. Do you now just completely forget how he played last year? The guy played what was considered widely to be one of his best seasons. He didn't just play well for one or two games but for much of the year. In fact until he just couldn't go anymore. Most of us agreed that if he could just play like that this year we would be fine. He already showed that he can be what we need, but for whatever reason he started off poorly and some of us thought maybe he was done. Maybe it was just an older guy playing his way into form. Maybe he's just stubborn and has to be kicked into doing the right thing. I just can't agree that he's a guy that hasn't shown us that he's turned the corner in his career. Not since he actually did play well last year for an extended period of time. The way he played the last 2 games is more like what we saw from him last year.

He's not always going to hit every shot, but so long as he's playing with the same style of play and leadership, we'll benefit from that. We still need to find or develop our future PG, so this doesn't change everything, but i'm interested to see if he can sustain this for an entire season of will he breakdown. I was hoping that we'd work Nate or Mardy in more this year, so that Steph could cut his minutes down and preserve his body.

Go this far? What did I say? The fact that I won't give him credit for having 2 games after he abandoned the team earlier this year and once again helped us to a slow start. Should I just go ahead and give him credit for everything? I'm so confused as to how I'm supposed to feel.

For the record my opinion stands for all players and the team as a whole. We are 4-9. You do not get credit after winning 2 games in a row. Get that record up to where it's supposed to be and at that point you get credit. Why is this unreasonable????

Yes, in the minds of some fans you are to ignore all wrongdoing and deny all off court comments and problems ever happened and then openly praise any shred of success on the highest platform possible.

In this case, winning two games at home one against a very bad team absolves the entire eight game losing streak just as two nice games by Marbury absolves him of four years of darkness.

Never look at the total package only focus on the most recent moment of glory and when you do you'll feel youthier and be closer to God.

I personally don't care who we beat and when we beat them and how we beat them and what the score was etc. Just get the record where it is supposed to be. Results is all that matters. When do we get to the point that moral victories don't matter anymore. I was informed that this year was the year, but now I'm starting to get the impression that one more year of moral victories is what we should give this team.

"This is the year where the best people play" and "next year is the year where the record matters"
