gamepicker... gameschnicker...

everyone was sharpening their hattori hanzo swords and you know it

fifteen percent my butt!

sorry inconvenient little things like "facts" and "numbers" interrupted your hyperbole.

carry on.

Why let those things get in the way? Hasn't stopped misterearl before.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

What is real interesting to me is the take that some have about this team as if this team has been together in it's present form forever. Zach just got here. This is year 3 for all the guys that came in with Curry and many of those guys are kids!!! Where is the sense of reason when it comes to this team?

We had LB's sabotage and mental hack job on this team. Exactly what did they do wrong last year aside from be unfortunate enough to have mass injuries? This year they had a really bad stretch but until they actually lose on that level the rest of the way, you can't stick a label on them just yet after just 13 games. This isn't some long in the tooth team that has been losing for years. The BULK of this team has been here for 2 seasons or less. So let's tone all this rhetoric down a bit. The organization has been losing for a long time, but this group of players hasn't. Can't we ever get to the point where we can make that separation?

If they lose this game there's no shame, so long as they have a chance to win and play hard. If they win it's a really good thing to keep the streak going and make up for some of the bad losses, but it's only one game. It would be the beginning of a trend showing this team can compete with and beat the best teams in this league and that is nothing but positive and can't be spun into a negative. So let's pull for this team to win.

Then on the other crazy hand...

... What type of November statement would it be in the hearts and minds of Knicks players (forget the diverse opinion of fans and media for a moment) to go into Boston and steal a funky road victory against the newly-annointed beasts of the East?

Hmmm....

I smell a testosterone-laden confrontation in the paint with our very own Zachmeister in the middle of things.

(Guarantee: all dialogue reported verbatum)

Seems like every game this season has been a critical game for the team. I am ready. Don't expect a win but I do expect 48 minutes of tough play.

Two More Days to Get Ready for The Get Down

Martin - there WILL be a first half confrontation and it won't be pretty. None of that garbage time sissy stuff. This will be one man sending a message to another man. You think the Knicks have forgotten the 60 point pre-season loss? You think that smarmy, uber-competitive, revenge-minded (who understands the value of THIS game like no other) Isiah will LET them forget?

(Guarantee; all pre-game dialogue reported verbatum)

"Yo...any one of you mo'fn' bitches who don't mix it up inside and show those mo'fn' Boston bitches what time it is, by laying your body on the line 100 per cent - will be sitting next to me faster than you can say Tim Thomas!"

You heard it here first.

Let's Get Ready to Rumble!

Like NYK resurrection stated so eloquently at the top - "here we go"

Bump it, if there are suspensions or fines, it ain't no big deal. We are the freakin' Noo York Knicks. We rumble for kicks and giggles. We scuffled with Denver just to get warmed up. We got plenty of reserves to make up the difference.

If Quentin gets tossed, big deal - he gets to rest his elbow and back

If Jeffries gets tossed - we still got Balkman

If Lee gets tossed, certainly the league office will go easy on him.

If Eddy gets tossed - we still have Zach (who actually STARTED the rumble)

If Marbury gets tossed, he becomes a fan favorite for showing passion. Nah, that's too easy, Marbury gets booed no matter what.

"Protect yourself at all times and come out fighting"

Send a message right in their backyard that the Knicks ain't takin' no ish offa nobody.

Get the Jiffy Pop ready people. The basketball season is about to get started.

Marv - have I mentioned that you rock?

Jerome coming off the bench... no better still... all the way from the tunnel where he camps out... is too perfect.

Who is gunna challenge the big guy rampaging in a suit? Jerome finally gets a chance to earn his paycheck. If he gets suspended - who cares? We still have Randolph Morris to get his back.

Bottom line - we have more BIG guys than they do. In a street fight, that comes in very handy.

If we can script it just right, this throw-down will be 100 times better than Zo vs LJ, with Van Gundy clutching ankle.

Slow motion replay, reverse angles of punches. SportsCenter here we come.

Get the extra video tape ready.

The league already hates New York. Reggie Miller chimes in and calls them a joke. The pressure mounts.Someone says the wrong thing to the wrong guy. And then the worm turns. Chaos. Mass destruction. Scorched earth. Multiple casualties. Loss of blood. A freakin' hockey fight.

"Those Knicks are such thugs"

Just like we like it

Come on man... This guys will be tuff only in your dreams.
They never were and never will.
Isiah can do this himself zo... he has nothing to lose anyway.

Im sensing a brawl myself.....just thinking of how intense that pre-season game was. Dudes were not playing around.

Im actually gonna predict a Knick win.

Here's how the game should turn out:
The game will have tons of jaring all game with Paul Pierce doing most of it. Celtics will be up by 12 in the second quarter and paul pierce "senor pee pee" will make a tough drive against Q-rich. Paul pierce will take offense to a foul and start choking Q, where Q will proceed to show us why he is 235lbs for a reason. Zach will be in there mixing it up with KG and there will be suspensions to "senor pee pee" and KG.....Knicks will lose Zach and Q.

This will result in Marbs locking up Ray allen and craw going balistic on that ass as the knicks win by 8pts.

Result? 15 game suspension for "senor pee pee" and Q. Kg and zach get 5 games. Jerome will get 1 for thinking it was a good time to go on a chicken finger break. Celtics lose every game without "senore pee pee" and KG....say 5 straight....and lose 10 out of 15, putting them around .500. The Knicks on the other hand don't miss a step. David Lee puts up 12/12 while balkman/jared and now chandler easily fill in for Q. Knicks will go 10-5 over the course of the suspention still putting them at around .500 as well.

EnySpree - you are indeed Jedi

Anyone can look in the rear view mirror.

How many can REALLY appreciate, analyze and overlay the antagonistic relatationship between Boston and New York - in the context of Friday's contest?

The rumble is on and it will be uglier than Greg Anthony's Hawaii Five-O discomatic shirt.

Man I want to see this team win this game so bad. The Celts have been unbeatable at home and how sweet would it be for that loss to be to us

They're a tough team, but you've got to man up against them and attack them like the Cavs did. Make their stars work on both ends. We have the kind of offensive players that can do that. We need our D to show up again from our starters. We know we'll get a defensive surge off the bench, but when the starters actually play some D, this team is a load to deal with. It's time for the Celts to come back to Earth a bit. GO KNICKS!!!
