Balk is like a tazmanian devil. All over his defender, your defender, the ball, the rebound, the break, everything. We need that. If he develops a 15 footer, watchout. He already is a phenomenal role player.

D. Lee, is a guy who I like alot as a player, its just that we have what he brings to the table in Balk, except Balk is the much better defender. Lee is developing a post game, but he is bad on defense, I have been watching him very closely. he loses his man on switches, doesn't know where he belongs, and moves very slowly on the perimeter. I love him, but his talents are underutilized here, and he has value. I dont know who we could or ought to get for him, but I'd definitely be testing the waters.

I guess we'd try to get a SF who is a good shooter/defender a full sized big who rebounds and blocks or a pg.

I agree. I love him too but Lee's the guy you deal. I'd love to try and cut a deal with Sacramento for Francisco Garcia and Justin Williams. I'm all for getting more than that if possible, but that's plenty bang for your buck right there. We get a young versatile guy at 6'7" that can handle, shoot it (a hell of a lot better than Q and Craw) and play a little perimeter defense (check out the stat line this dude had the other day in Phoenix playing PG against Nash). And we get a young, 6'10" athletic big who BLOCKS SHOTS and rebounds. A few people consider this a bad deal and Williams as nothing more than a throw-in in any deal but I couldn't disagree more. That's plenty for Lee and a good deal for both clubs. We already know that Sacramento liked Lee from all the Artest talk early on in the season. Sacramento doesn't have anything like Lee on their roster. A good trade for both teams.

I can't see balkman or Lee our answer at the sf spot.

Balkman has to develop a jump shot to be considered a starter.

Lee is a tweener as a two way player.

He gets timely offensive boards and grbage points, he also has no jumpshot and doesn't defend or work well offensively on the perimitter.

Q Rich is a sg trying to play SF on a poor shooting perimitter team.

If this team wasn't so dysfunctional, they could work Wilson Chandler in the rotation at 6'8 230 as a SF.

He can shoot the ball and take it to the basket , none of our other sf lee and balkman can do that.

He even can defend a little

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Dlee is a power forward.
Balky looks great on the second unit when they trying to cut into a lead.

But he lacks skills to be an NBA starter. His handle is not that good and he shot is suspect. I like the kid, good off the bench.

With high chance that this group will be disassembled why to trade anybody?
The only think you will end up is another disappointment.

Wow this is a first someone who wants D. Lee traded. Ok lets do a trade with Dlee. How about sending Marbury and Dlee for Speedy Claxton and Joe Johnson. Atlanta get Marbury and his expiring contract after next year. Knicks get the outside shooter they are lacking. Atlanta gets a rebounding machine and a guard with a expiring deal next year making them players in the free agency market after next year.

I didn't know that Altanta wanted to 1) get rid of Joe Johnson or 2) needed yet another tweener big man. WOW.

why does MIA get the Knicks' 1st rounder in exchange for White Chocolate when he's not that good of a player to begin with? u don't give up a pick just to unload 1 year of Marbury's contract... just buy him out if u wanna get rid of him that badly... if u want Artest, u can get him easily w/D Lee & a filler like Malik (something i wouldn't do btw).

Nocioni ate Balkman alive this guy isn't ready to start in the NBA. If it wasn't Balkman's complete inability to guard Nocioni this game wouldn't have even been close.

So yes the Knicks definetly need a serious 3 player. Because its not in Q, Balkman, Jefferies, or Lee.

I saw this too. The problem was that Balkman was so busy trying to help other players on defense, he strayed too far away from Nocioni. I have no doubt Balkman can guard him one-on-one if he just focused on him. He needs to develop more discipline on defense, but he clearly has to potential to be a lock down defender as he gains strength and experience.

Fix the three and you fix the Knicks

The biggest disappointment has been Quentin Richardson. Despite my admiration for him as one of the few Knicks willing to do the dirty work on D, his season thus far has been a complete disaster. Richardson is hitting only 31.1% from the floor and 23.5% on 3-pointers, which is brutal considering the 3-pointer is his main offensive weapon. Richardson's shooting is crucial because it's an element the other New York small forwards lack. Jared Jeffries, Renaldo Balkman, and Wilson Chandler haven't made a single 3 between them.

TMS - a blind man could make that simple call on Wise.

You wanna impress someone, name a small forward who is playing behind someone in the shadows, just waiting for an opportunity

a blind man can also make statements like "Fix the three and you fix the Knicks" when they know this team needs to address a lot more areas than that to get them back on the winning track. you wanna impress someone, name me 1 SF that you think will "Fix the Knicks" like you suggested. i gave u the closest possible solution i could think of.

Ron Artest, provided he doesn't go crazy, could 'fix' the knicks.
