Great movie BTW.

I think the team will settle down and win some games which will quiet the garden mob.

Dolan can't fire Isiah until the legal issues are resolved and a Marbury plan is in place. Unless this team really implodes and becomes a disgrace that will affect attendance in the Garden and more importlantly leauge wise on the road. Can't have nobody wanting to see this group on the road, not fair to other teams.

Knicks-Philly is not exactly a stub hub kind of bid war is it?

Im under the belief the team is better served to make these moves off season and we should freeze on

Nalod - as a point guard, Isiah made the only play he saw available on the break...

he KNOWS he is bound at the hip to Marbury and cannot wack him, but he can put his act on front street (you know where that is on the map) to challenge that ego. Another analogy to the so-called "Marbury-Thomas Family Feud", which is probably before your time, was the Phil Linz/ fight on the Yankees team bus, over a harmonica-playing incident on August 20, 1964.

(from Wikipedia)

After a Yankee loss to the Chicago White Sox, Linz was in the back playing a plaintive version of "Mary Had a Little Lamb" on his harmonica. Yankee manager Yogi Berra thought sad cowboy style mixed with a children's nursery rhyme was mocking the team. He told Linz to pipe down. Linz didn't hear and kept playing. Berra became infuriated and called back from the front of the bus, "If you don't knock that off, I'm going to come back there and kick your ass." Linz couldn't here the words over the music, so he asked Mickey Mantle, "What he say?" Mantle responded, "He said to play it louder." This led the famous confrontation when Berra stormed to the back of the bus, slapped the harmonica out of Linz' hands, and the instrument hit Joe Pepitone's knee.

This altercation convinced the Yankees' front office that Berra had lost control of the team and could not command respect from his players. As a result, the decision was made to fire Berra at the end of the season.

And even though the Yankees eventually won the pennant, Berra was fired.

C'mon Nalod, is that classic New York or what?

Great movie BTW.

Wrong movie. the Hucklebury line was in Tombstone with Kurt Russel as Earp and Val Kilmer delivering that memorable line. Kevin Costner "Wyatt Earp" movie was the forgettable one which I hope will be Isiah's tenure with the Knicks in due time.

Prez - supwitchoo?

“Before, everybody was kind of in a rut, and we weren’t feeling real good about how we were playing,” Curry said. “But everything’s starting to make sense now, everything’s clicking and we’re feeling real good about how were playing.”

Don't get too high, earl. Two games is not a "streak". It's a little more than a dot. It's a dash.
Let's see if they can be consistent.

I think if they can extend this to an ellipses there will be cause for hope.

Panos - trust me, I ain't quite ready to bet the mortgage on Marbury playing three solidly professional games in a row (the meds gotta wear off sooner or later ) but... the more I watch Zach (who is still getting acquainted with his mates) the more his twenty points look a bit more appetizing next to Eddy's 20 and/or Jamal or Steph's 20.

not that anything like that could happen.... I'm jus' sayin'

bust dem Celtics upside the head!

Panos - lets just go crazy for a second and dare the think the totally dysfunctional, strife-torn and mismatched Knicks can go into Boston and actually steal a regular season road game from the powerful, coveted, darling of the media, annointed, all-star laden, league-leading and overwhelmingly dominant Celtics.

what kinda message does that send?

Stop the Knicks now before they kill again
