if Isiah's going to keep playing Jared "I can't hit the side of a warehouse with my jumper" Jefferies over him... i literally get nauseous everytime i see fishlips taking the ball to the hole w/absolutely zero idea of what he's going to do w/the ball once he gets in the paint... why this guy is seeing minutes over a rookie that Isiah was supposedly so high on in the offseason boggles my mind.

He's just a rook. It isn't unusual for a coach to give a rook more bench time. I mean it isn't like he's a King James or Durant, who you let take the team over from day one. I expect him to get more minutes and maybe even a starting position next year. And if not, then start questioning why he's sitting under a guy who can't hit the Empire State Building with a golf ball.

Bro, we are on a 7 game losing streak. What do we have to lose by playing the guy major minutes. We need a spark in the worst way!

I was offering an explanation as to why he was sitting more. But at this point, I'd be for starting Lee, Balkman, Collins & Chandler, to see if they can show the vets how to play this damn game.
I'll never trust this' team again.

He can shoot the ball

So that makes him better overall?

Trevor plays with the Lakers > Wilson plays with a circus.

I'm just goofing on Misterearl who said this about 2mos ago, who's been laying low of recent, and Nixluva who tried to back up this claim.

the guy's averaging 2 pts & 3 rebounds in 14 mpg this season... is it phyically possible to be less productive than Jefferies if you're getting those minutes on the floor?

i dunno if ur joking around or ur serious here, but this guy's been a complete joke ever since he's been here & has career averages of 5 & 5 over 24 mpg... u seriously expect this guy to be a productive player for this franchise w/more playing time?... if u have any idea why he's seeing minutes over a 1st round pick that Isiah was so high on this offseason, i'd like you to explain it to me cuz the only possible reason i can think of is if maybe Chandler just plain stinks in practice.

I am assuming your talking about Jared Jeffries being a complete joke and there being now reason why Chandler shouldnt be playing over him, right?

I haven't seen enough of Chandler to know if he can play. But for a team that isn't close to a title, why aren't we trying to find out?
I just hope that people will like me

This isn't that crazy. Balkman, Collins and Chandler would give you all the defense you need on the wings and then some. Eddy and Zach could just chill back there with those three on the court.

Chandler had multiple blocks in each of the summer league games that I saw.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

exactly! i don't get why a career scrub like Jefferies is getting playing time over a guy we just took w/our 1st round pick in the draft this year... shouldn't we at least see if the kid can play at this level before we give someone like Jefferies minutes?

career scrub?

Jefferies ain't no front line starter but the dude knows defense and the playbook and help defense and rotations and when to shoot, when not to shoot. He knows his place in the offense.

It could be just that Chandler, in practice, hasn't shown an iota of the above. So, why SHOULD he play?

knowing your place in the offense because you stink & can't be trusted to take good shots doesn't mean you're not a scrub... what defense are you speaking of btw? he's hyped up to be this great defensive player but i haven't seen anything out of him that tells me he is one... he knows rotations? i can't even tell you how many times i've seen him miss a rotation on defense & left someone wide open in the lane for an easy layup, dunk or backdoor cut.

like u just said, unless Chandler simply doesn't show anything in practice, i don't get why this guy is getting minutes over him.

Jared has his place on this team as a defensive reserve. When he's on the floor with other defenders you can clearly see how he helps. His size and quickness does help, but you really want him to be out there with other guys that know how to defend too.

Chan may not shine in practice, but from the very little that i've seen of him he seems to know what he's doing. He seems to know when to shoot and when to pass, he defends and gets after the ball. I would like to see a longer stretch so we can get a better handle on what he can and can't do. Right now what would it hurt? You can't get blown out any worse than we have, besides it would seem worth it for a few games to see if you can get a spark from him. He has to be hungry to play you would think. I'm curious to see what Mardy, Balk & Chan would do out there with Lee, Zach or Curry.

I've heard some mention that Isiah may feel that you can't trust a kid out there, but he doesn't have to be out there in crunchtime, at least not at first.

Why put Chandler out there in crunch time when we have battle-tested veterans like Jeffries and Q?

Speaking of Q, I hate to say I told you so but I did.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

Chan played 18 min against PHO and 2 minutes somewhere else, and then there was Summer League and pre season. You and the rest of us have not seen enough to make any kind of conclusion.

it just begs the question why Isiah was so high on Chandler in the first place
