I personally have no problem with Isiah bringing in a misfit here or there. Marbs on it's own is not a deal breaker. TT not a dealbreaker. EC not a dealbreaker. None of these are deal breakers. It's the relentless, not stop acquisition of misfit after misfit that fit no logical plan that needs to be analyzed. I understand what Isiah is going through but I simply can't blame Dolan for everything. It's too convenient. I am positive a star GM would have been "forced" into some questionable moves, but I'm also positive a star GM would have some type of foundation to go along with it. We have 15 guys on the roster and only one can be considered a possible two way player that has been in a winning situation. And he can barely walk
I just hope that people will like me

This is where PresIke comes in to tell us Joe is being condescending because everyone knows this already, and Nixluva tells us this is what he's been saying for years.

And where you come in and demonstrate how little you understand our perspectives through your attempt at humiliating us.

Dumar's point isn't addressed at Knicks fans, so your attempt makes even less sense other than trying to take a cheap shot at me. What he said is what any person who knows anything about team sports can say. Did you not know this? Point is I don't know players personally, so I'm not the one making judgements as a GM or coach. What I can ask is do people learn this or is it something inherit? Isiah probably thought that he could be a leader and role model to help change some habits, which btw, has psychologically been proven to be effective on human beings for influencing others in their behavior (Social Learning Theory). There are reasons why
it does not always work, especially as people get older and more set in their beliefs, but not necessarily.

Pres, I've never derided your opinions in the past, in spite of us usually being on opposite sides of the issues. But today I find it odd to see you and 'luva, two of the most "optimistic" "supporters" talking like you've seen this coming all along - to the extent that when a journalist says firing Isiah wont cure the Knicks ills you find it condescending, as if all our problems have been obvious to you for so long. It just rings as ironic, because while those problems have been obvious to some ("haters") for a long time, you and 'luva seemed at the forefront of those least inclined to fear their consequences.

You'll tell me it's been otherwise, that's it's all been a huge misunderstanding on my part, but I'm sure I'm not the only one to perceive this.

Now didn't both Joe And Isiah play on the same championship teams and learn from coach chuck daly on what it takes to win.

So why did Isiah go out and get guys who won't and can't commit to what the Team concept he's accustomed to as a player and coach

Isiah was the star, or at least billed that way. While Dumars was the all-pro, playing the role of second fiddle. So Dumars has a more complete perspective.

Daly was the coach who they both listened to , Daly was the one who huddled the guys up and told them their roles and convinced them to do what they do best and not what the others did.

Isiah obviously went his own way , while Dumars stayed with the blueprint.

Larry Bird was a star , he didn't change his philosophy while coaching.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
