We keep hearing how we've added more talent and we've drafted real well. I'm just curious at what point as a fan am I allowed to expect all this talent we've acquired to start resulting in wins?

as soon as Zach has had a chance to mesh with his teammates & acclimate himself to playing in NY... that is, until the next new player joins the team, whereupon the grace period gets extended for another couple seasons.

Its like the sign in a bar that says:
"Free beer tomorrow!"

Come back tomorrow, still says the same thing.

Are you factoring in injuries, the media and the fans?

good point... at least another season gets added on for those factors alone.

By that you mean another season added to Isiah's extension, right?

u can't judge Isiah's 1st term with his 2nd term... the 1st term was just to get rid of the mess left behind by Layden... now his 2nd term will be dedicated to developing these players... after that comes the 3rd term, where they actually start to win games... see how progress works?

Well this is the first year "where the best people play" so it normally takes a 2-3 year waiting period for them to adjust to the change in roles.

you're right, it usually takes at least 2 years to adjust to no longer getting minutes relative to the salaries you make, so these guys need at least 3-4 more seasons before we can realistically expect any tangible results.

I beleive that BJones came up with a chart that indicated how long we would have to wait to start expecting wins. I believe the final analysis came up with a season sometime after 2030. I'm on board with that. On that date it will be okay to be angry without risk of having your fandom questioned

2005, took frye with the #8 pick overall - bust
took nate robinson with #21 - what is he going to end up being b/c he still looks like a rookie
dlee at #30 - decent player but doesn't make up for the blunder at #8

2006, felt eddy was better than anybody in this draft

2007, felt eddy was better than anybody in this draft

balkman?
mardy?
chandler?

mardy is a d-leaguer
balkman can't play 4 good quarters in one game, let alone stay healthy for 2 games in a row
chandler? tbd.

Why not post who you would have picked?
