Dolan isn't gonna fire Isiah because he is owed $24 million. You pay another buyout average Businessman wouldn't fire him either. Ride the season out and hope you hit lottery jackpot.
Jimmy boy also needs Isiah to act cool in court when the Anucha appeal comes around for the 11.6M award. He also needs him to act cool in the secondary hearing that decides if Anucha is worthy of an additional 10M in compensation.
If Isiah is fired he can just bury Dolan to the tune of 21.6M since Isiah is off the hook monetarily.
....
To those who say it's no big deal to pay Isiah to go away that would be true in an isolated case but right now the Knicks are actually operating at a loss because of all the huge buyouts they've gone through recently. Adding another 24M will be crippling to them. 28M for Brown, 21.6M possible for Anucah, 24M for Isiah, 24M for JalenTaylor. This is adding up in a hurry.
I will also float the idea that Dolan will indeed make good on his promise to force Isiah to fight for his money in court ala Brown.
I don't think Dolan is prepared for that yet so he's looking to let the Anucha appeal and hearing come to a close then he's going to make his move.
I'd say sometime in late December Isiah would get the axe. Jimmy Boy is a hothead though and he might very well can Isiah after we go 1-4 or 0-5 over these next five tough games.
