So much for Crawford's phony "We good!" attitude yesterday, huh?

This is just ridiculous now. I have a feeling the Knicks might lay down and die tonight to prove a point - kinda how they did against the Hornets on MLK day that one year where they just stood out there and let the Hornets take that 30-3 lead to open the game.

Kinda how after their 6 game win streak they gave up against the Raptors in the 2nd half of the game just standing around as the Raps went in for dunks and layups all 2nd half.

Those were instances of the team giving up on the coach and proving it to management. Tonight.....might be another one of those nights.

To some degree I actually hope it is so we can move forward instead of watching this disaster twist in the wind.

Cosmic, it should be remembered the Knicks treat the season just like a game. Come out of the gate slow and disinterested, then keep up with the opponent in the second quarter going into the half down a few. We give a short spurt in the third hoping to catch the opponent asleep, then hope for divine intervention or Jamal Crawford to save us late in the game.

It's good enough for 23-33 wins, and some fans rest their hats on those few spurts and flings of desperation, considering them representative of what this team "could be," while in complete denial of what we are.

This is poetic justice - Isiah frustrated trying to coach this team - given the lack of support he provided the coaches he's had over the years.

crawford and curry are generally good guys, but even they are smart enough to know that Isiah's job is on the line, and that they will get playing time and their hefty checks... They say all the right things, and talk a good talk, but in the end, they are not committe to do what it takes to win. curry comes in out of shape, and crawford plays like he was never coached by larry brown. I really think isiah thought these guys would be very good come year 3 of his project, but you can see it on his face, that he is dissapointed at this group and there is nothing he can do to change it, that won't get him fired, unless hope these kunckle heads decide to play. If he trades these guys, eats their contracts, or benches any of them for a long period, he is admitting failure, and expensive failure and that will not sit well with dummy dolan....

I figured it out.

I predict Marbury will start tonight.

This was Isiah's way of taking the noose off escapegoatbury's neck. The problem is now officially not just Marbury, so Marbury can start again.

This way the PA system can drown out the boos when he's announced.

That's essentially what I was thinking except my twist is I SAY UGH still has Marbury under the gun. You see if Marbury is off the floor while the GSW are thrashing us Marbury would be vindicated, so instead he starts him. Let's him along with our other bums take the Sodomy act from the Warriors then he'll stand over there disgusted with a excuse still looming. Plus I don't think he wants Steph to come off the bench and get booed unmercifully putting him out on a island so to speak, without his agenda accomplished first.

Yeah, I agree. I think the move was to make the team's woes look MORE like Marbury's fault than Zeke's fault.

This is exactly what I hoped for when Isiah was forced to coach. I love the irony. Last year he used every excuse he could think of. Injuries, the fans booing, LB hangover... This year there are no excuses. All he has left is making the players take the blame. Of course that goes directly to Isiah the GM but Isiah the coach is in full self preservation mode. It's going to be great watching the players turn on him. It already is actually.

I predict Isiah refuses to coach after halftime and watches instead from the tunnel with his arms crossed.

They don't play hard on the court. So they have to entertain us and keep us interested & entertained somehow.

At least we have our draft pick this yr. The LB yr we didn't have our draft pick. Thats what hurt the most.

This can result in serious mental illnes of double personality.
Can GM/Coach be medically retired?

This reminds me when I woke up to see my son totally **** all over himself and the crib. The feeling of disgust and disbelief you have for witnessing this goes without saying.

Needless to say, I went back to bed and pretended like I never saw it.

That's how I feel about these Knicks. Im just waiting for someone to come and clean up so I can enjoy my team again.

LOL. I thought I was the only one. Once I was so disgusted that I went to bed as well. I sat in bed for 5 minutes and started to feel really guilty. I then got up and told my wife that I thought I left the iron on in the basement and was going to check. I told her I also thought I heard Travis making some noises so while I was downstairs checking on the iron, could she check on Travis. She did, and cleaned him up. Two years later she has no idea.............

Isiah knows the garden fans are gonna be riding him & the team tonight for the crap that's gone on so far this season... Marbury's starting tonight... i already know we're going to see a pitiful lack of spirit in this team tonight, & i hope the Knick fans let Isiah & Dolan know all about it tonight.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
