It's too early to tell. I feel like the Knicks season hasn't even really started yet. With the Jetbury incident and Zach not being there for a few games, this team has not really been together. Assuming we're stuck with Isiah and Stephon, this team needs some time to settle down and learn to play together.

Under those circumstances, I think the predictions of most (31-40 wins) is reasonable.

If things don't settle down, then it's gonna be real ugly.

When you look at this team, you just wonder how can't they just win 39-44 games in a season. You see the stats, you see their strengths and you just feel that they should be able to win many games. But then you see them playing no defense, going through the motions, missing free throws and simply not caring anymore. Then you realize that this will just get going until someone is fired. We are 2-7 now and we've found every possible way to lose against great teams, good teams and terrible teams. It will only get worse until this team can find a way to breath fresh air. Right now the only thing they can breath is the desperation of a clueless man and the pollution of a pathetic franchise.

Take Dolan out of the equation. Take Isiah with him. Thats the start we need..

I will not be one of those that jumps ship after 9 games like the rest of you idiots. That is why I am sticking with my original prediction of 19-63.

As the Daily News would say, once the Knicks lose to the Bobcats after beating the Pistons, "They fooled us again."

I think there's no reason to think that a prediction of 45 to 50 wins won't be correct by the time the season is over. Sure, there are problems. I'm not saying there aren't. But when I look at this team, I see a championship team. Isiah has put together a good solid core of young guys. They just need a little more time to get it together. I don't see any reason why it isn't possible for the Knicks to do very well this year indeed.

Actually, on another thread I had us at 39. I forgot to revise the initial thread. When I made the first prediction that was insane, because once I thought about it before the season I thought the competition was too tough for us to make the playoffs anyway.

Either way, 39 looks to be too generous too... if I could get a do-over, I might say 33.

At any rate, I'm wining GamePicker so far, so that's what's important.

[Edited by - Solace on Nov 19 2007 10:40 AM]

I would be winning but I keep picking the team to win. I think once I get my brain healthy and am able to settle my thoughts down I will be able to make a comeback on the Gamepicker. I also need my wife to stop booing me while I'm making my picks. It's very distracting and demoralizing. But one these conditions are perfect I will be ready to go. It's too early right now to give up on myself.

The secret to winning game picker may just be picking the Knicks to lose every game. I have picked them to win twice this year. I was right on that once. I think my girlfriend thought it was funny how excited I was over leading game picker. It's at least more enjoyable than the team we put on the court, at any rate.

I said 43 wins. Holy shiot. But to my defense I was pretty sure that this would be the year that there were no more excuses. If I knew excuses would be allowed again I would have tempered my enthusiasm

That sounds like an excuse.

IT's not an excuse. It's just not time for me to get angry with myself over this. I'm happy with where I am and since all the other predictions were pretty mediocre I don't beleive it's too late for me to turn it around. I just need to wait for the dust to settle and things will get better.
