Zach is committing 3 turnovers a game.
Zach is averating .20 blocks per game.

You can't run a pick and roll with Lee its that simple his defense sucks worse than Randolphs and he can't shoot a jumper to save his life. Zach is providing double double a night and he is giving you more rebounds per game than any other player in the NBA. Get over it. We all like Lee's hustle but he can't sustain it for the entire game he can't put it together back to back games either. Zach atleast makes teams play him honest on the offensive end where as Lee they don't even waste to much time with him. You guys bring in salary and what not into your discussion but you forget they would have to pay Francis and Frye this year anyways. You guys won't be happy with anyone who puts on the orange and blue.

You're right. Since we've welcomed noted team cancers and bad teamates already and its worked so well, we should continue to go down this road, even after Isiah is fired.

let's get over it nyk... nothing wrong in rooting for a perpetual 38 win team.

LOL I didn't catch that before.

I know its hard to prove so I'll give you the details on it.

Game 1 of the season
1st quarter 3:13 left 28-24 Zach Randolph blocks Drew Gooden's layup

WOW!!!!!

VMart no doubt that Zach is more talented than Lee in basketball. I am willing to bet you if Lee is ever traded you will get more out of him than what Portland got for Zach. Winning teams will covet Lee and trade Zach. I know for a fact a couple of teams wanted to trade lottery picks for David this year and the Knicks declined. I know what other great players say to David and how they respect his game. Stats dont win basketball games and before his career is over Lee will become a player that helps teams win games.

And Isiah didn't take the picks for D Lee he is an idiot.

I'm happy Zach is rebounding, but when do all these wonderful stats that our guys put up start resulting in wins.
I just hope that people will like me

VMART most GM would trade for a double-double guy vs a rookie that hasnt done anything in the league. If Lee is given the minutes he averages 12-10 with no problems and shoots 50% from the field. In his draft class did anyone else do that? Will any rookies this year besides the top two picks average a double-double?

^ I love D-Lee, but it was a weak draft class man.

Zach isn't a better teammate, but he's as good as Lee at rebounding and passing, and superior at scoring.

Even finishing around the basket is the same.

Lee will never get 36 minutes on any team, simply b/c he can't defend OR create offense...

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Lee is a third year man and will get better. He will be a 30 minute guy and will average a double-doulbe and do the dirty work for the center that is scoring. Zach needs 20 shots a game and he can rebound and he turns the ball over way too much.

if you want to compare D Lee's weaknesses to Zach's strengths, it works both ways... Zach doesn't run the floor, doesn't finish on the break, doesn't pass the ball effectively to teammates, is not an energizer of the team & does not make hustle plays... no one here is saying Zach is worthless, only that he is redundant on a team that has rebounders & low post scorers already... for $61 million bucks it would have been nice to get a player that added some dimension to this team that they were lacking.

One makes 13 million the other 1 million. It shouldnt be close. Winning teams and smart GM covet Lee the Knicks and Zeke covet Zach.

Zach brings something that is almost non-existent in the NBA: low post scoring. Zach maybe weak on defense but there's no question that is offensive game is definetly on a high level. I'll take Zach everyday and twice on Sunday over David Lee because he is the superior player. The problem is with our guards position. You have no consistent outside shooters and no real point guard on the team. Now im not saying Zach is better than any of these guys but just pointing out what a difference it makes to be on a balanced team. For example Amare Stoudamire's game has improved greatly with the addition of all their 3 point shooters and of course Steve Nash. Similar to Carlos Booozer playing alongside Deron Williams. And Dwight Howard's offensive game is getting better and will continue to get better because he has guys on his team that can knock down open shots.

there's no question that Zach is the superior player right now... but ask anyone on this forum if they'd be willing to trade D Lee to acquire Zach last season, & they'd have been bashed to no end... don't even sit here & try to tell me you woulda been OK w/giving up D Lee to get Zach in that trade.

Hell yes I would have supported that trade I think some Knick fans are crazy maybe because we're so starved for anything positive but we have a tendency to blow players way up. I like Lee but to me he's on the level of a Haslem a role player who will do the dirty work around the basket. And until he gains a jump shot and some moves around the basket his skill isn't touching Zach's.

You didnt have to give up anything for Zach dont you think that was a clue. Portland saved about 20 million and got rid of a cancer.

The problem is our two best front court players are probably Zach and Lee, but they both play the same position. The GM can't really make a move until he's sure what combinations of Lee, Zach and Eddy can work and which can't. It's the throwing of things against the wall to see what sticks theory at play.

Ideally it would be nice if we could keep Lee happy getting 30 mins backing up both of them, but , like last night his minutes are capricious, and he probably wants a starters role, and a starters paycheck, in a healthier and more uptempo environment.

Because he's a soon to be FA he holds some juice in the matter.

not anymore... but as soon as he delivers on those 14 dimes a game he promised us this offseason, he should get that average back up.

Who would have thought that Boston could get KG without giving up someone like Paul Pierce? Or how Philly gave up Iverson for some draft picks and Andre Miller. What does that say about them as players?
