I'm not sure that much has really changed. The team is basically the same as it was before this. The expectations for the season and beyond should be the same too. We played 6 games and due to poor play we lost 2 more games than we should've. This team IMO still has the ability to get back on point and even more so IMO since we're looking to minimize Steph's role. We all have wanted to see the kids get more of a chance and from my view I think that the team has already shown itself to play better when we make use of the young guys on this team.

Things picked up in each game when the bench came in. Even last night vastly outmanned the young players gave more effort than we've seen from some of the older vets. It's obviously time to make that change. I thought that it would be a more gradual shift, but so be it.

People predicted a tailspin last year after the suspensions and they proved everyone wrong. Don't be so sure that this team can't win some games. There are winnable games on the schedule and I expect this team to compete and get some of those wins.

No you're making it seem like there wasn't a positive response to the turmoil and you KNOW there was. Just because later things turned sour, doesn't discount the way they responded at that time. COME ON MAN! Can we stop with the endless bashing of EVERYTHING this team does?

There are many players on this team that give max effort when they go in the games and just because we have a couple of guys that don't people are so fast to discount all the other guys who do give effort. They want to blow up the whole team as if there are no good players on the team with which you can build a team with. Steph is one player. When the team settles down I fully expect that they will win their fair share of games. We didn't stink completely. We needed better defense on the perimeter and I believe there are better defenders on this roster who can help if given the chance. Even before this Steph crap, I fully expected that we'd see those players get a shot to help this team.

Your wet dream of Mardy Collins playing starters minutes is just a dream, Nix.

When did I say anything about Collins getting starter minutes? This isn't about any one player. I'm looking for a better overall effort on D and I believed and still believe that we have players who are capable of doing it. I didn't anticipate Steph being as bad as he's been this year. I felt that with him coming into camp in great shape that he'd be even more able to defend closer to what he did last year. He has been WORSE! If he can't or won't defend, then we move to the next guy who can and will.

If you felt that was what this team would win at the start of the year, why are you acting so upset now? Many of us are so wishful of blowing this up and starting over, which would mean YEARS of losing again with NO GUARANTEE that the team we build would be a contender. What I'm saying is that this group has enough youth and upside to continue to tweak it and see how good we can be. Who knows what may happen. Maybe we can get another draft pick via trade and find some guard help. The team would still be young enough to make a run and we'd be much closer to the goal than we would if we start all over again.
