I also think we need a defensive CENTER more than we need a defensive 3 man.

Curry is the center of our defensive problems for sure, he is just ridiculous.

I say trade Curry forr... hmm.... a draft pick

Or a five pound bag of potting soil. Whatever we can get.

Listen Dolan won't allow a full rebuild, but that doesn't mean we can't "accidentally **** up" this season and grab a top pick, right?
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

is it even possible...even the slightest bit possible...to start a discussion on what was a worse trade for the knicks franchise: dice or steph?

nah...is it?

well the dice trade was worse of course..... We lost Camby for that... We only lost Dice for Marbs lol

Take away the Marbury trade what do we have?

Take away the Dice trade we have Camby

Don't forget, in the trade for Marbury we alos lost two first round draft picks, one still left to confer, two trading chips in Lampe and Vujanic (SP?) and expiring contracts that could have been used for someone else, like Sheed.

So in essence we traded two prospects, two first round picks and Sheed for Marbury.

We need to trade Eddy before he kills himself with food.
He had heart problem and this can be serious. Save the man!!!

Steph cannot be back - head problems are not repareble...
He should not be allowed to get in the track. Save interns!!!

Isiah should be fired while he is still cool.
If he will be sad he will kill somebody. Save lifes!!!

If Marbury does not come back the world will keep turning and guess what?

The Knicks will learn to play basketball without him

Think of it this way.

When Zach returns.... he suddenly becomes the most respected, based on his consistent output, veteran player in the starting lineup

Holfresh you're a total idiot. Please go back to the basement and play nintendo. I am my own person and I feel that is what is best for this team. They need to get rid of one of the bigs. I have coached more pros than you have met my friend

Ok, fine... I agree. We do need an ignore button, but just so King can ignore Holfresh.

I think if you are going o trade Curry you need a solid SG/SF. I don't think Granger is going anywhere, IMO.

What about a package centered around Curry to Sacramento for a package of Artest and Garcia?

Incoming Players
Francisco Garcia
6-7 SG / SF from Louisville
15.1 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 2.6 apg in 33.0 minutes
Ron Artest
6-7 SF from St. John's
No games yet played in 2007/08
Kenny Thomas
6-7 PF from New Mexico
2.6 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 1.1 apg in 17.5 minutes
Outgoing Players
Malik Rose
6-7 PF from Drexel
1.3 ppg, 0.3 rpg, 0.3 apg in 10.0 minutes
Eddy Curry
6-11 C from Thornwood (HS)
18.5 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 0.7 apg in 32.9 minutes

Earl good question I think he just needs some experience so he doesnt get in foul trouble every game. I am a big Wilson fan and think he has the skills to be a fine player in this league

The Silver Lining

King1 - I appreciate your forward-thinking perspective on skill-sets-in-progress, not simply the mundane, stat-based, rear-view opinion.

You already know my stance on The Mayor. With the roster upheaval caused by MarburyGate and the early injuries, it was nice to hear Chandler got some burn.

Neither Quentin (height and back limitations) or Jeffries (inconsistent offense) excite me at 3.

I like The Balkman. I really do.

but hold up

At 6'8 220 Chandler may even be a skootch stronger than the Balk. Chandler can contribute the same rebounding skills, has excellent defensive footwork and anticipation (his timing on jumping is excellent) and has much better polish on his offensive game. WC can make an outside shot, demonstrated in his first pro game last night.

The only problem is The Mayor is a rookie and does not have the flying dreads

Other than that, I don't see a problem.
