I don't get this whole Ron Artest thing. That is throwing good money after bad.

If there is one single lesson that should have been learned in the Isiah Thomas era it is this:

This team, in this city, with the the leadership (or lack thereof) presently in place, is a HORRIBLE place for a player to get his head together.

Trading Balkman or Lee is a bad idea, those guys are the two best things we have going. When the truck gets backup up for this team those are about the only two guys I don't want getting in.

i'd give up those guys for a franchise player... Artest isn't a franchise player

Fair enough.

And Balk and Lee aren't franchise players either, so I'd trade one for equal value at a different position, like a young promising PG. That would be a justifiable move toward the future. I just don't think this team is one you go "all in" for, thinking there'll a payoff in the present. We're not one piece away.

David Lee or Zach Randolph?

Do you mean on offense or defense? If you mean offense I see what you're getting at. Lee is better off near the basket.

On D you have a problem though with either and and I think you need Chandler out there.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Ron Artest is way too risky.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

to be honest, i wouldn't give either of those guys up unless the young player i was getting back had a higher upside potential & was already a stud in his own right... a player like Josh Smith for example... otherwise, ur creating 1 hole to fill another, which doesn't really solve anything in my eyes.

for a franchise superstar, then obviously you do it because finding true franchise players in this league are few & far between... u can then justify creating a hole at 2 positions to fill 1 because that 1 player brings so much along with him in terms of talent.
