^ Well to be fair he refused Vince Carter for Jamal Crawford.

That was a shrewd move...

You also have to remember that at the time Vince Carter was acting like a diva. Quit on his team for that past 2-3yrs, was having surgery like every season. He got the name Wince Carter, and people were questioning his man hood.

If VC for Crawford was a good trade to you. Then there shouldn't be any problems with Francis & Frye being traded for Randolph.

What is it with Knick fans who go after players who turn on their own team? Who cares? I mean isn't that one way a player ends up going to another team? Are they supposed to have great lationships as their going out the door somewhere else? Some of you diva's did this to Kobe also. Just because they have a parting ways with their own team, doesn't mean they'll have a great relationship with their new team. Look at Vince. He's doing great since he's gone to NJ.
I'll never trust this' team again.

^ Uh, baseball doesn't have a cap genius.

Uh, whether there is a cap or not is irrelevant when people are making "they spend tons of money so they have to have some sort of talent on the team" comments. Those comments are made in an attempt to cheapen what a team has accomplished or is accomplishing, saying it should be expected given the amount that is being spent. They aren't talking about how their cap woes will affect their ability to sign free agents, or anything along those lines. Note how the quote doesn't say a thing about the cap, nor does it even vaguely reference it. Genius.

WOW - why it is neccessary to cheapen this team accomplishments. They are bottom chip without the cap aspect.

I think we still have the highest payroll in the league, but at least it's starting to fall.

Don't worry. Isiah will probably sign someone like Chris Webber to a six year, 90 million dollar contract, as soon as suckbury's off the books. Or who knows, maybe he'll resign suckbury to another three or four year contract.
I'll never trust this' team again.

... Van Gundy on the Knicks: \"They got a lot of talent. Look, when you have a $90 million-plus payroll, you\'re going to have some guys that can play. Let\'s not act like it\'s a miracle. They\'ve got one of the highest payrolls in the league

Eh, if we start winning who cares. When the Yankees were winning the World Series with the league's highest payroll, nobody in New York was losing sleep over it.

They've lost much much more than they won, with the highest payroll either way. You can't buy championships. Just ask Dolan. His/our Rangers are also the highest paying.
I'll never trust this' team again.

It pains me to know that Dolan spent (and wasted) tons of millions of dollars and we never had not one true all-star on this team the whole time.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I don't know where you were going with that. But the point was that Isiah probably got scared off trading for Vince Carter because of all the injuries he was going through. And the fact that he quit on the raptors for 2-3yrs. Isiah wanted Carter still, but he was reluctant to give anything of any real value.

I didn't even say anything negative about Vince. All I did was bring to light the situation during that time period. Is anything I said in the first paragraph untrue? Did he not quit on Raptors? Did he not have a lot of injuries? Were people not calling him Wince Carter & questioning his man hood?

It's not geared at you specifically. It just reminds me of some people who go after other players who want to leave another team for a new one. Most of the time, their happier. Carter, Barkley, Garnett to name a few. Just a note. Seems suckbury's the only one's who's never really been happy anywhere.
I'll never trust this' team again.

VC was justified in dogging it in toronto under the old raptor management.

The organization used him and didn't intend on winning with him there after 1 good season when they beat the knicks in the playoffs.

VC for jamal crawford was ano brainer he had injuries in toronto, but in NJ HE'S A DIFFERENT PLAYER.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
