Yeah it does. Most teams take about 5-8 years. Luck ones do it in about 5 or less.

We cant wait on Mardy Collins for this year+ He has not shown the ability to hit an outside shot.
IMHO we could use a guy like West badly[he is also 6-4] and integrate Collins and Chandler during the year. I think we have to br prepared for some changing of the guards so to speak at PG and the 3 spot. We also need to let Randolph Morris show if he can play some back up or not. I dont think Malik Rose is any kind of answer for a team trying to build. Build with building blocks. We should be able to WIN with another guard and slowly intergating defensive players. There is NO reason we HAVE to play 8 guys tight--I like ten for this team.

WE NEED A DAMN FRANCHISE TALENT.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I don't mind Collins not playing. JC, West and Nate is a pretty good backcourt rotation IMO.

Morris should be the 9th man and come in to bang for 10-15 minutes a game.

And Balkman with Chandler should be playing the 3. I know alot of guys around here think Q is a leader or what ever he is here to do, But Blakman defensively can be better and Chandler can be the better offensive player.
