Isiah has to convince his scorers to become two-way players against Orlando.

Stan vangundy's team will focus on defense.

Curry needs to watch film on howard, he seldom takes charging calls and tries to defed and block everything.

Foyle is 6 fouls to do the same and can score close to the basket.

I'm afraid we go back to the old knicks one on one when Orlando tightens up the defense.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Because of our backcourt personnel, we're destined to struggle against good shooting teams unless they're having off nights. This game has the potential to be a blowout loss.

I think this was the same point bobs3304 was trying to make. Albeit in his own terse way.

Why can't we let Isiah and Zach focus on guarding Howard down low? If he goes off, he goes off. I would tell my guards to stay with the opponents perimeter players AND NOT LEAVE THEM! Don't sag down to help against dwight. I read on a blog that Orlando's hitting 10.5 3s a game. That's what's winning them games. That's 30 points right there. Let Dwight prove he can score in the post before you help on him (or Zach could help Curry).

The guards should stay right up on their man. Zone will not work against this team.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Howard can get his but just keep the perimeter guys from hitting 3's. I don't care how quick Howard is, he's still not gonna want any part of Curry this year. Last year he actually was stepping away from Curry in the paint. He's not confident at all against Curry. He knows he can bully all the other C's in the East, but he can't push Curry around and so he tends to back off. Howard is scared of fouling out, so he basically let's Curry score. I say we do like everyone else has said. Play man on Howard and stay with the shooters. Better to give up 2 rather than the open 3.

the addition of rashard lewis and turkoglu on the perimeter will cause one heck of a mismatch. curry should be able to hold his own against howard. interesting to see how jameer will comes out

contain lewis and we should win

Orlando is like Cleveland.

Shorthanded, overrated, but deadly from 3.

We lost to Cleveland, we'll lose to Orlando.

If we single cover Howard the Knicks should win this game. Orlando does not have alot of penetrators as Hedo and Lewis are more perimeter shooters. If Marbury and Nate can keep Jameer out of the lane for most of the night, I think our offense will dominate their offense. Like others have said, it will come down to staying with Hedo and Lewis on the perimeter and getting Howard into foul trouble. We can beat this team.

This has the making of a tough game for us. With a quick pg who can shoot like Jameer Nelson and 2 guys out on the perimeter that no one will be able to guard Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu, we are going to have our hands full.

And oh yeah theres that Dwight Howard guy.

This is the kind of team that can kill the Knicks right now becuase of our deplorable defense. The effort and the D was there in the 2nd half on Tuesday, if they can match that, this will be a very good game.

You just touched on something I hadn't given thought. Lewis and Hedo and Garrity play PF for Orlando - and shoot from the outside very well. Will Zach be up to the challenge to keep with them on the perimeter? Will he stay inside leaving them wide open? I figured the initial defensive breakdown by the Knicks would be to double team Lewis leaving the shooters open - but I wonder if guarding the PF position, which is a perimeter position in Orlando - will also be just as deadly to our defense.

Just play smart defense. Man to man. Don't lapse at the PF. And for the love of god, Crawford, please have another smart offensive game. Tonight is not the night to go 2-12. Short leash, Isiah, SHORT LEASH!

Danny Devit0 in Twins: "Tonight is your night bro'..."

Tonight is a fantastic opportunity for David Lee to show progress in his perimeter defense of power forwards and match up with Hedo or Garrity. If Lee can't hang, look for The Mayor to receive his first cameo of the primary season.

Zach will handle his bidness. Once The Garden starts showing him some love, his heart will pound even faster.

Is the Mayor off of Inactive List? I think we will see JJ2 before Bing makes his first appearance.

I am, I like what I have seen so far, but I also remember not seeing Balk until injuries hit the Knicks last year. And Isiah is gunning for some wins and will probably rely on Q, Balk, JJ2, Rose first at the 3 spot.

Brown got a TON of **** for keeping Lee on the bench his first year, less than Isiah did with Balk. I wonder what the reaction is going to be for the use of Chandler.

Crawford and marbs should have a field day against the orlando guards. Same could be said about curry and zach inside. If the knicks come in and play their game man it should be a nice win.

Only thing stopping a knick win is if orlando gets open threes. Orlando is not stopping the knicks from doing anything.
