See, this is what I'm talking about. We are coming off the heels of an exciting win, with the temperature of knick fans ranging from cautious optimism to mild euphoria, so here comes this bobs guy with attention-seeking threads looking to throw salt on the positivity. This cat is even going so far as to create a negative thread about a fresh import (Randolph) who has looked great so far. What kind of a fan does this???? This shyt is childish and its obvious that you have way too much time on your hands. Take this nonsense to St. Elsewhere and get a life homeboy.

Congrats to the Knicks on a solid start to the season...No reason, with this talent level, that this cannot be sustained.

I don't know though if he is looking to just hate on the Knicks or if he just has hire expectations and doesn't see Randolph bringing us to a championship level. I could understand that line of thinking. Is Randolph talented enough to have us seriously competing for a championship a few yrs down the road?

I don't know that answer, but as of right now if we could win and build up the value of all our players we could at least be in position of strength to make moves down the road to balance the roster at least.

newyorknewyork - Championship level?

Championship LEVEL?

It's November 7th, with the vaunted Chicago Bulls sitting at 0-4 and you're kvetching over "championship level"?

I wonder if some of you would recognize a positive baby step if it was wearing football cleats and cracked you in the nose.

championships are won one game at a time.

nah, let's pick boogers over whether Mister 22 and 17 is good enough for your sophisticated palette

I think BOOBS knows less about basketball that anybody on this site.

What aspect of the 20 pts / 14 rebounds per that Zach has given the team is not welcome?

Is he Malone or Barkley? No.

Is he at least a top 50 player? Sure.

What exactly is wrong with having a guy like that, especially when you gave up a 6'11" jump shooter with no other skills to get him? Who knows....certainly not BOOBS.

I don't know about top 50, but he's definitely one of the tom 464 players in this league.

What numbers are the same? There's an infinite number of stats and combinations of stats you can derive in basketball.

Seek and you will find. Or make me do the work for you.

I enjoyed the win. I enjoy what Randolph brings. But its still understandable his concern. Randolph isn't a rookie, he did play in Portland one time in his career.

The Answer Man Has Never Seen Such Revulsion and Suspicion over 22 and 17 in His Life

Q. nyny - Is Randolph talented enough to have us seriously competing for a championship a few yrs down the road?

A. No, Zach should be traded as soon humanly possible. He is a troublemaker, a malcontent and an overly-egotistical player who thinks he is a franchise player. The nerve...

Man what in the hell is up with the hate on here.

You guys worry all day about someone hating on a sports franchise, but you beat up on a human being?

Wtf is that about?

I'm voicing concern with my fellow knick brothas about things that won't go away. You fair-weather fans can triumph all you want about Z-Bo's start to the season, which I'll openly admit has been nice.

But don't be so short-sighted. My desire as a fan is to be in championship contention.

We are not taking the steps toward, and so I'm understandably perturbed.

Yea, that's right............I said "perturbed".
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

thank you
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

^ Man, you guys are SO fawgin short-sighted.

These are the same people that will jump up and down when Ron Artest comes here.

Same people that probly went crazy at first for Marbury...

I think most would like to savor the moment and look to the potential instead of just puking or whatever. Z-bo is 3 games in and looking good, nothing bad about that.

^ True.

And hey, good for them. Better to have positive vibes as a FAN and not trying to be a GM.

Oh well...

Atleast I ain't wrong.

This is a team game and not a quest to be labeled the best at anything...There are plenty of talented players in the NBA who was once called the best with no rings...There are plenty of guys went on to play significant roles on teams that went home with a ring...

This is just a pointless muckraking thread....

^ I would trade Zach Randolph, buyoutBury, waive James, fire myself.

I'd hire Kiki Vandeweghe as General Manager b/c he's proven he can take crap and pawn it off on other teams (Van Exel, McDyess, & Lafrentz).

I'd probably hire a guy like Paul Silas or Rick Carlisle, maybe even Bill Laimbeer or Jeff Van Gundy as coach.

And maybe get Willis Reed back as President or Vice President. I'd probably keep Grunwald as Assistant General Manager.

More checks and balances, the better. Maybe even hire Bill Bradley as Vice President who knows.

I'd get rid of Curry and Z-Bo. Unless Curry was willing to take a big PT cut, down to like 26 minutes a game.

If Crawford keeps this up I'd probly keep him. Like DJ said, which I half-agree with if he keeps it up, Crawford's career is entering Chauncey Billups' mode.

I'd aim to suck for 2 years. Try and get top 5 picks in atleast 2 straight drafts. Just like Portland.

We'll have significant cap space, even with re-signing D-Lee, in 2010. We could scoop up a franchise player or an All-Star on top of the bigtime rookies we'd reeled in.

Mostly cap space.

But I'd look for solid young prospects or picks in return too...
