cartman - why wait for some fashionable Nate bandwagon?

If Nate can hold down the backcourt for somehere between 18-22 minutes per game, he will have the responsiblity of managing the mid-to-late second and third quarters. Nate does not need major minutes to make a positive, significant impact on his running mates.

The key is for Nate to continue to bond with Balkman (ankle) and Chandler (both whom he ran with in Vegas as starters) and learning how Lee and Collins' games are evolve as they mature together.

Go Nate Go

Listen up , Nate Robinson is on one of my fantasy basketball teams, this guy is gonna show us something this yr.

Put him on the court with bonifide hustlers and another jumpshooter with Z-BO in the post and we will be fine.

Send Crawford and steph to the westside rotary club .
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Nate will definitely be key. He is our best outside shooter and can easily score 14-15 points off the bench. If he can score at a high percent and run the offense, he will make our second unit very potent, which IMO is our main advantage over most teams.

Don't hate the nickname, hate the fact that playoff tickets will be tough to come by on Seventh Avenue in April.

Yeah, it's tough to get playoff tickets at MSG when the Knicks aren't in the playoffs... HAHA!! Sorry man, I thought that was the obvious quip response...

I like Nate. He's a knucklhead. But for some reason, I think he might be able to work it out. And I really hope he does.

eViL - once a knucklehead does not always hafta BE a knucklehead.

I would offer that some of Nate's intense Napoleonic personality was shaped by the mere absurdity of being 5'6 and playing a big man's game. C'mon, you know like I know that no 5'6 dude can get next at the playground without speaking up... and not backing down after the first cross-check of a foul when he goes to the rack.

Visualize Nate growing up with the constant pressure to be twice better than his competition.

Now, fast forward to having the nerve to make the freakin' NBA. At 5'6. The little man has to prove he belongs all over again. He beats his chest, he dances, he provokes attention because that's what he always has done - he never backs down and sometimes he gets carried away in the middle of a scuffle. I think he learned a lesson after Denver and being benched in his hometown.

I also think he studied well in Vegas, where his demeanor was more professional. Knucklehead? Maybe. But I dare you to show me any 24 year old dude who isn't a work-in-progress.

Nate has the opportunity to channel his unique skill-set, and previously unchained melody, for the good of mankind.

stay tuned

He's a pittbull and I mean that in the best possible way. I love the fire, the competitiveness, the toughness -- all true Knicks qualities. He makes some really frustrating decisions though.

I'm sorry but Nate isn't gonna make or break your season.

It's more like Isiah's dismissal.

JrZyHuStLa - does the phrase "johnny one note" hold any meaning for you?

c'mon, calling for Isiah's dismissal isn't a valid strategy for the first game of the season. Or the first month for that matter. If the Knicks stumble out of the blocks the boos will turn into player mutiny and Dolan will be forced to make a call.

If he has truly got his mind "right", Nate WILL - without a doubt - make a huge difference in the Knicks season.

If you have any scientific (or -half baked, partially-marinated) evidence to the contrary, I would be happy to hear it.

Dude you're a weirdo.

Don't we all?

Nate may be a lot of things we don't understand ot agree with, but I would never characterize him as a slow learner.

You don't play NBA ball at 5'6 without a decent comprehension of he angles and a knowledge of your own limits.

I'll take toughness and competitive fire any day of the week.

Weirdo?

I am truly honored to join the illustrious ranks of people such as Leonardo DaVinci, The Beatles, Elvis Pressley, Bill Walton, Little Richard, Jimi Hendrix, Albert Einstein, Muhammad Ali, Robert Raushenburg, Pablo Picasso, and Jesus Christ who someone like you decided to label as "weird"

You made my day.

Beat Cleveland. Go Knicks.

"The player we saw last November," Isiah Thomas said, "we better not see that player this November."

Thomas still was not happy with the play of Marbury - and backcourt mate Jamal Crawford - during the preseason and expects more.

“I don't know how it [meshes] with Zach and Eddy, but I know the player we saw last November, we better not see that player this November," Thomas said. In order for us to be effective (Marbury) has to take shots that are available when those shots are open. In preseason, he and Jamal [Crawford] passed up a lot of shots."

"Desperate for a good start, Thomas could plant Marbury on the bench again if things don't work out, especially with the vastly improved Nate Robinson almost ready to emerge from the understudy role."

(exerpts from NYPost and Newsday)

Go Nate Go

Nate worked his azz off last night.

Marbury has lost another step and the two karma's are like night and day.

Arguing a refs call while the ball is in play is inexcusable.

Everybody that wanted Nate gone or traded are looking like really stupid right now... best point guard on the team right now.

Anji - beyond his courage and tenacity, here's what you gotta love about Nate -

He ain't afraid to go in and battle for a rebound (7)

If Isiah can instill some of the same qualities of leadership that made him great, in Nate, the young man could turn a corner and gain some consistency.

Forget Eddy and Zach meshing, that ain't a problem.

"The Understudy and The (cough) Star" will be the next great play on Broadway.
