BTW, it has to include Hinrich for it to work cap wise. OTherwise they salaries won't match. I can't see it including Wallace b/c that wouldn't make sense from either team's perspective. And it cannot include Nocioni cause he just signed a contract and can't be traded till Dec. 15.

Most likely it would be Hinrich, Gordon, Thomas and Noah.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Man if there's no Deng or Hinrich in that trade and its just some combo of Tyrus and Gordon and Noah than there are a few teams that could beat that.

Hmm, Tyrus and Noah, eh? Isn't that what we gave up for Curry?

Yeah. Which is why we've gotta make Curry the centerpiece of our deal.

That's not true.

And it wouldn't matter b/c he's BYC anyway.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Why is it not true- how could they put together the salaries too match without giving up half their team?

Well, this does seem to lend some credence to the notion that Kobe could force a trade to his team of choice, a position that was mocked when the speculation was that he wanted to come to the Knicks. Kobe would be a professional no matter what? Apparently not.

Too bad Kobe no longer wants to come here. New York too much of a circus, and we would have to give up too much to get him. A missed opportunity to bring a true winner here, but at the same time, Kobe creates a circus wherever he goes, and we got enough problems, so it might all be for the best.

Not that I wouldn't want him, of course.

you've got to be kidding me if the Lakers would accept a trade of Kobe for Artest but wouldn't consider anything that the Knicks have to offer.

I think the best thing we could do is try to go 3 or 4 way and see if we can send some parts (freddy jones?, crawford) that net us som youth & picks.

He's very hard to give up-based on the sole fact that Isiah drafted him-but for the sole purpose of this trade we'll just consider him an expiring contract.

If I am Isiah, I'd be on the horn trying to contact Steve Kerr and begging them to get in on a three way deal to block the Bulls!!!! Reason being we have made deals in the past w/ Phoenix, all be it Kerr was not the GM... he could be a viable partner because of Marion's reported displeasure on being trade bait for K.G. Also he and Phil Jackson have, a history from his playing days as a Bull... Jackson's "so called" affection for the Knicks from his playing days in the Garden could help facilitate a deal. IMO. (Unfortunately, this could also be the same logic used in favor of the Bulls)

Here is my proposed scenario:

NYK

Trades: David Lee, Nate Robinson, Quentin Richardson, Malik Rose, Randolph Morris, Cash Considerations and our next yrs #1 unprotected pick (More value if OJ Mayo comes out and we don't make the playoffs) and a fut 1st rd protected pick

Rec's: Kobe Bryant

Phoenix trades: Shawn Marion
Phoenix rec's: David Lee, Vladimir Radmanovic, Randolph Morris, Malik Rose (Exp Contract) cash considerations, and and our fut 2009 1st rd protected pick

Lakers trade: Kobe Bryant & Vladimir Radmanovic
Lakers get: Shawn Marion, Nate Robinson, Quentin Richardson and next yrs unprotected 1st rd lottery pick

The situation is this. Kobe does not want to go to the Bulls unless Deng and Wallace are there. So the most Chicago can offer is Gordon, Thomas, Noah, and Nocioni. Now compare that offer to an offer of Curry, Crawford, Lee, and Nate. IMO, I would rather have the Knicks offer. Even if Bynum turns out to be better than Curry, there will always be teams interested in a guy that can score like Curry, so the Lakers could trade him. Lee IMO is as good as Thomas, Noah, or Nocioni. If we added an unprotected 1st round pick, I cannot see how that deal would not interest the Lakers. Our lineup would then be Marbury, Kobe, Balkman or Q, Randolph, and Morris. With Collins, Chandler, and Rose off the bench.

According to ESPN Luol Deng is now being included in packages. With that being said it's clear they want to get Kobe out of town.

Gordan is not much of an upgrade over Crawford. He makes bad decisions and plays out of control.

Chicago is willing to include him but Kobe wants him to remain a Bull and Kobe has the veto power.

Kobe's stance may have changed. If he thinks he can still get it done with say Gordon and a few pieces of remaining talent then there won't be a problem. Look once you find out you actually are attempted to be traded things change. Kobe has realized over the summer up til now you can't have it both ways.
