Channing Frye was terrible. He has a golden opportunity to win the center spot there (arguably his best position).

Frye was bad, I'm not arguing that. But I don't think he is arguably a center. His future is mainly at PF. Przybilla is keeping the spot warm for Oden so Frye will not be the center even if he plays there this year.

And if you look at the difference in body type of Przybilla and Frye, and Frye and any other "true center", like Oden, Shaq, Dampier, Diop, etc. it's evident Frye is a forward and not a center.

There are not that many real centers in the NBA. That's why Oden is such a big deal.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Frye has the body of a forward, I'll give you that. But he's probably most effective offensively (and defensively) playing out of the center position and out of the high post.

Frye stinks, he was soft at UA and is soft now he should be getting a ton of minutes with oden out and has zero trade value now that he has been figured out.

Time to realize Isiah doesn't have a good eye for talent: Crawford, Curry, James, Jefferies, Frye, he can pick a role player thats about it. There is nothing hard about trying to grab the most athletic guy in the draft and adding parts that don't fit, we still don't have a pg, sg, or a sf in many people opinion all those should have been solved with smart drafting and cap management, signing one year talent and then moving on until the right player comes around......

LA is going to be a good player, Curry will not thats all it comes down too.

Portland doesn't have a properly stocked roster. Jack, roy, sergio, blake? Ok so who's the shooting guard? Roy? Who is the back-up?

Webster is good.....so is outlaw.....can't play them both together cuz neither are guards......

Portland is terrible.

The Blazers are going to be terrible this year if they play the same way they did yesterday. They might be 1-2 with the Sonics again.

There was no team play except when Blake was on the court, it was all one on one "juke and shoot". Roy is very talented but his style of play reminds me of Marbury, he's going for his own and if he can't get it, only then he is passing the ball. Unless this is an aberration I think they should trade Roy for a traditional PG, because the focus should be on Aldridge and Oden.

P.S. if 27 points and 3 boards is bad for Curry, then it's bad for Aldridge too. I think Randolph is a better player than Aldridge at this point.

You know it's funny, b/c in the 4th quarter, when Roy was controlling the ball I couldn't help but think - what if Marbury was doing that. The Czar would've called him out.

I think the difference is that he plays defense, is still young, and doesn't alienate teammates (that was Zbo's job).

To further your point though, Charles said on TNT that they should move him to SG b/c "he ain't no PG".

2nd point - 3 rebounds may be bad rebounding wise, but just watch the game. Aldridge was in constant motion......defense, offense, whatever. He didn't take any breaks. He played atleast average defense.

Curry is absolute crap on D.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Yeah, I think Portland is in a situation where if they find a veteran PG that can run the offense and move Roy to the two, they have a lot of potential. But Roy in my view is not the answer at the point. But until they find that person at least he's not pouting and fighting iwth the coach
I just hope that people will like me

Last year Jack was the starting PG. Roy isn't a PG at all. He reminds me a little of a young Joe Dumars.

How many boards did aldrige have tonight? I am not sure, I heard someone say a total of 3 boards..... So this is OK for a big man. I mean since curry catches hell for grabbing 6......

Nobody rebounds well against the spurs especially on opening night.

Lamarcus will get his boards against other teams, frye and curry are pathetic in that area.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Aldridge drops 30pts 10reb and 3blks last night

And with 5 gms in the books he's very close to a 20/10 player with 19/7.5
