I make this trade YESTERDAY if I'm Isiah!
Finestrg - yeah, but you conveniently overlook the other half of the equation that if your were Isiah, you would still need to make Golden State an offer they cannot refuse.
There is no free lunch

What free lunch??? I'm prepared to give up Lee and filler to get the guy - not a bag of rocks.
David Lee ain't David Robinson
Does GS covet Lee?

Agreed. In fact, my initial post was all about how I think Biedrins is better than Lee. But let's take a good look at this whole scenario for a sec. GS didn't re-up Biedrins so in my book that means they plan on going in a different direction (Patrick O'Bryant). Instead of losing the guy for nothing to free agency next year I'd be willing to bet that he could be had in the right deal. Enter the Knicks - who offer, say, a David Lee/Balkman or Lee/Mardy Collins for him. You don't think Mullin would have to consider that? You don't think that's a fair trade for both clubs? True, I like Biedrins better, but Lee is almost a lock for a double-double every night (a case can be made that he could've been the 6th man of the year last season if he doesn't get hurt) and the Warriors don't have anything like the ultra-high energy Balkman or defensive-minded Collins on their team. The closest they have to that sort of player is Mickael Pietrus, but he's not Balkman or Collins defensively.
We have nothing to worry about though because I really think Isiah is incapable of making a sensible deal like this anyway.
