the Cavaliers have finally found the missing piece to the puzzle!

Look no further, Air Nichols to save the day!

The only question remaining is, how will LeBron adjust to taking a back seat to D-Nice?

oohah

understand your point but considering there are players that have no future with this team still on it, this was basically a totally wasted transaction.

You guys are putting it like Nichols is Ray Allen or something, please the guy is a good shooter but overrated player.

There is no point when you take it that far out of context.

It isn't or never has been a question of whether Nichols is a savior.

The point is that Nichols is a player who fills a role and does so at a cheap price.

We cut him because our roster was overfilled with expensive players who do not fill a role for this team, or expensive players whose role could easily be filled more cheaply. It's a simple concept that is somehow misconstrued as being overly negative and spun into some kind of "woe is me we just cut an all star."

When Nichols comes into the game against the knicks, Isiah better but Wilson Chandler in the game to show him up.

I don't want a, no perimitter playing; guaranteed contract having; knicks backcourt wanna be; to try and guard him.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

What makes you guys so sure that a player that just signed today a rookie at that is going to play on the 2nd game of the season for the Cavs?

You guys are blowing the Nichols thing out of the water, yeah I would keep him over snack but ya'll are putting it like if he is Jesus Shuttlesworth.

i think nichols this season for cleveland may perform a steve kerr type roll. we don't know if he can play on this level but he will be able to get a few minutes to just catch and shoot. plus, nichols can play a little bit of defense so we'll see.

but i agree with cdb, he just got there, how is he gonna be ready for opening night?

That's a good signing for the Cavs. It's a cheap, low risk move.

i'm sorry, can u define what you mean by that? i don't know what that is being a Knicks fan.

So not only will Dnic be helping the Cavs out on the court with his outside shooting but he will also be giving the Cavs new plays and a real scouting report about our team.

His real value is his outside shot replaces Sasha Pavlovic's dirt cheap. So, instead of overpaying for him, they can wait and use that money on a player when the opportunity presents itself.

Whereas we showcased him to the entire league and gave up a second round pick in the process.

The kid is oozing with confidence, now that someone actually picked him up he's gonna perform. The guy would have been a #1 pick if it wan't for the bogus hepatitis C report down in Orlando.

He a playa , he's no gun shy guy just happy to be on a roster.

He takes damon jones place knocking down shots for the cavs.

Isiah gave away 2 2nd rd picks (the one used to draft Nichols and next years) for the privilege of showcasing him to the rest of the league and allowing another team, in their conference, the chance to sign him without wasting any of their assets.

Clueless

Good point SC. As usual.

Isiah just made this kid look like a star. Especially when no team was even thinking about Dnic. Everyone knows that Isiah may be bad in signing players but drafting is a whole different story. Especially after Mardy and Balkman turned out to be good players. I would not be surprised if Dnic makes the rotation of the Cavs around the allstar break.

There is little question that having to cut Nichols and then watching him sign with the Cavs indicates some poor managerial decisions somewhere in Isiah's past here.

Use of the MLE has been the most glaring example of this as both James and Jeffries have not helped this team much, and are not simply below their value, in terms of ability to be moved, but even on the court. Both of which have made it so that a young talent like Nichols "has" to be cut.

Other factors likely weigh in as well, but even the most staunch supporter of Isiah with an open mind cannot avoid this evidence.

It's not really a wasted transaction. It would have been nice to keep Nichols but the transaction was Frye and a Francis salary dump for Zach Randolph. Nichols was at the periphery.

The Cavs are in a totally different situation. It's Lebron and the Pips. Can you name the Pips? I can name one of them: Demetrius.
