David Lee must think very HIGLY of his teammates...

Probably like them better if he were starting.

I honestly think that the bench of, mardy, D-nick, chandler, lee, morris and balkman would run our starters out of the building.. I am not kidding... they would have problems scoring, but remember how soft the starting frontline would be.... lee would have 25 points off of putbacks..

You're probably right. And even if no changes could be made to the roster, just starting those guys, and having our veterans come off the bench, would go a long way towards solving our motivational problems.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

This actually happened in early camp scrimmages except it was Jones and I believe Nate instead of Balkman and Nick, so what you're saying isn't earth shattering but is sad when reflected upon.

This has also been the case the past 2yrs where our bench was needed to give our starters a lift.

tkf - that lineup, even though it may be scoring-challenged, would be an extension of the unselfish play in Las Vegas.

I can live with changing the approach and adding the next piece in the 2008 draft.

22 assists is better than 10

The defense was horrendous, as expected. But, the fact that we couldn't take advantage of 2 premier post-up players is beyond me. Either Isiah is a dunce and can't draw up plays or Marbury is a dunce and can't run them.

You kidding? Our defense has sucked for years. In fact, the year we started sucking on defense was our first year we had a bad record (For this streak.) And Bip, I gotto say, maybe you don't think the offense is an issue, but I think it's just as much an issue as the defense. We have all scorers trying to be team players. We have turnover happy shot chucking guards who think they can magically become point guards. We have damaged good shooters who can play the team concept, but they are too slow or injured and all, in Quentin and Allan Houston.

And yes, we have guys who don't make the effort on D. And now, Isiah is magically saying we have to play D', yet not once in these guys careers, have they even been taught the values of defense, besides the Fred Jones and Balkmans and Jefferies of the world, who are role players.

This post has nothing to do with last nights game by the way. It has everything to do with the past 6 losing seasons and nothing has changed.

First the way this team was constructed is crazy. You have 5 starters that are all volume shooters. Steph, Quentin, and Jamal all shot under 42% last year which isnt efficient. Curry is efficient but cant hit free throws and Zach shot 46% which isnt good for a big man. You dont have a point guard that can run a offense. You have no one that thinks about defense first, and no one that can block shots. Unless you trade Curry or Randolph this team will not be very good this year. I dont want to see Zach roaming the perimeter when Eddy is in the game. We dont have any shooters, anyone that wants to defend, a three man, and no interior defense. If we can fix just these thing we have a chance to be pretty good,

King 1 you are right--ive said it many times last year. we have too many players who shoot under 42%

we need some guys who hit shots and there is no way ec and randolph will work. pick 1 and find a good deal for something else--curry for marion???

Woah, I never said the offense wasn't an issue. I'm just saying that these players can be expected to put up the same type of offense they put up last year, which was okay.

For me, the biggest concern is the lack of effort on defense. Poor defense and poor offense can be explained and expected from time to time. Poor effort can never be explained. Again the offense was poor, but I expect it to rebound and be what it was last year. The defense was poor but I also see it rebounding and being similar to last year. AND THAT IS WHAT CONCERNS ME.

Marbs to me look about the same as he does always on O. I had no complaints other than the same complaints I had about him 3 years ago. He is who he is. He will be explosive, he will carry us from time to time, he will break down the offense by going one on one. He will rip his defender a new one. His defender will return the favor on the other end. He will lead for spurts and drag the team down in others. He is who he is. Again, that was not a concern of mine.

One big problem that I see with this team is Marbury. Last night he was not aggressive at all. It's like he only tries to play good against teams with a point guard that he thinks he is better than. If this was Nash, Wade, or Billups Marbury would have tried to drop 30 points. When you look at the matchup with the Celtics the main two spots that we could have beaten them out is at the pg and center spot. For a guy like Marbury to think he is the best he has to bring it every night.

Why do we keep expecting him to change. He's been in the league what 11 years? He is who he is.

The jury already decided on this verdict several yrs ago. Who is even looking for him to become such, he never was, has, or will be.

Briggs I totally agree I would trade Curry for a point or a three man and this team is so much better. You have to be efficient on offense.

Listen, my challenged friends. The Knicks are a mismatched bunch. Have been for years. It is this mismatched group and asking players to perform in roles they aren't suited for that leads to the sloppiness. This is why that guy Bipp constantly screams for balance. When we have balance the sloppiness will instantly go away. But as long as we accept the lack of effort on the defensive end, and make excuses for it, the more it will crop up. And the more it crops up the more creative we will have to come up with excuses for it.

Im not panicking, Im freaking VENTING!

Ok, charged atmostphere with a division rival and the crowed is jacked! Must have been a playoff type crowd to see the new improved starphuchs Ainge bought in and our team really did not rise up to any kind of challange. Forget despises to lose, or enjoy winning, you'd think even with some shreds of dignity they would not want to be embarassed. Might even want to send a message themselves and to those paying folks back home that: "the KNicks are for real also and we gonna get it on this year!"

We instead like a ****erspanal rollover and pee on ourselves!
Im panicked that our team showed such little back bone, and Isiah who used to be able to get them up with his rah rah Hoosier stuff is now himself Anuchas bitch and the players can smell his stench a mile away.

Who knows what else is going on with the corp. cesspool of dishonest men that we call MSG! This stuff trickles down and Isiah is rancid with the smell of fear.

That does not mean we should except that. He played against Rondo. He get's paid about 20 mil. There is no reason for he him to be half stepping. If Marbury just drives that creates open dunks for Curry and shots for Zach.
