I'd love to hear the reasons on this one.
Would love it
Wouldn't mind if it meant losing a few of these players
Yes' but we don't have the money
No, we'll do just fine, maybe even better without him
If I had a choice, I'd keep starbury
I hate everything about L.A.

If Kobe doesnt want to come here, fine. Kobe can stay in LA. But how about we trade Isiah for Phil "action" Jackson! A true Knick!

Phil's pushing 70. There's not much "action" left in him.

There needs to be another option: Who cares? It's merely switching seats on the Titanic!

Some fans will never learn. Here we go again let's review who we were supposed to get or in the mix and our gullibleness.

Kobe
K.G.
Jermaine
Vince Carter
Artest
Odom
Gasol
Marion
AK 47
Lewis
Wallace
Ray Allen
Zach Randolph(We Got This Guy LOL Out Of The Bunch)
Matt Carroll
Mo Pete

Now it's on again, we're in the mix for Kobe again and we're going to get em. Kuptchak and Buss may have some screws loose but they don't want our garbage and KOME doesn't want to come here.

GET IT, GOT IT, GET OVER IT, GOOD!

Think for a minute what is special about the players in the least above and others alike?
Why any team and any fan will love to get them regardless?
Skills? Talent? Experience? Yep, this is important. But there is other thing that separates them from the NBA players crowed who are all talented and skilled. DRIVE TO WIN.
This players come to the game with all their baggage, all problems, all injuries... and then they leaving this all aside and giving it all to the game. Always. You can count on this.
Was Pat, Spree, LJ, H20, Ward the best, youngest, and healthiest players at a time they reached the finals? Hell, no!!!. They had the DRIVE to WIN. And they did it regardless.
We have a group of players who are coming to have good time, get their money and go to the party. And we have GM/Coach who cannot stand players with the DRIVE TO WIN, because he wants to be the man, the center of attention, the only source of success. His time passed when he was a player but he still trying to extend the glory days. YOU TIME IS OVER ISIAH. GET OVER IT.

If Kobe wants to shine in the highlights of another big market, come on Kobe, you can't reject New York. Its the East, where Lebron James can get to the playoffs with "that" kind of team. If we trade for you you will still have some pieces to have a decent run at the title. And you will have a better chance of beating Shaq constantly. Whats there to think about? Isiah? He will kiss your feet every single day for taking the media off him. Dolan? He won't come even close to you. You can have your "mini Lakers glory days" playing with Shaq-lite Eddy Curry!

Just say the words: I'll only accept a trade to New York." Its easy! You can do that, Kobe!

If you can get Kobe, you get Kobe. Kobe, David Lee, two Felton Spencers, two Travis Knights, and two Rick Brunsons would likely match our current team in wins. It's a lot easier to build around a player when you have the player to build around. It's a no brainer.

That being said, honestly, I'm not sure we have the assets to get a Kobe, especially when we're going to hold back our "studs" out of trade scenarios, as we've done in the past.

No thanks to Kobe unless we actually decide to build a team around him. Just remember, having ANY player doesn't guarantee nothing more than filled seats, and that only goes so far. So if we gave up everything for Kobe, and we were still just an average to decent team, that barely got anywhere in the playoffs, how quickly does Kobe pout and put pressure on Isiah and the Knicks to make a knee jerk reaction move, the way he tried with LA. I'm with Bonn. It's going from MAYBE the lower deck of the titanic to the upper deck. You die, but live just a few minutes longer.

IMO, getting Kobe can be compared to Poker like this.

you got a hand full of off suit mid cards, no pairs... pretty much you know you ain't winning jack w/that hand, even if your opponent's bluffing.

do you draw cards & hope to pull an Ace out of the deck, or do you fold? I say go for the Ace & take your chances.

If you have suit connectors than go for it... Do we have somebody to connect with Kobe?

you have to figure that at the very least, either Curry or Zach will still be here after any trade for Kobe is made... that's a start... any team in the East w/a dominant inside outside pair like that can contend... then you piece together whatever's left & add pieces as you go... all this nonsense about not having enough pieces left over after trading for the best player in the NBA to contend with is ridiculous... i don't care if we're left w/nothing but Solace's dirty underwear & dj's sticky Penthouse magazines, if you can make the trade, you make it.

Once again like I have always said... I hate Kobe and what he represents... he is the opposite of what New York is... but then again New York isn't what it used to be.

I would just feel weird cheering him on after booing him with a passion for the longest time. I hate Kobe fans and now I have to become one? No thanks.

And I would also like to add if you take 2 identical teams, one with Kobe and one with LeBron, which team goes further?

Let that fool go to Chicago and play in the shadow of Jordan, I mean if you want all the glory why would you play in Chicago knowing that you would never have the same success Jordan did. Kobe will never grow up and always stay a little sniffling bitch complaining when things don't go his way, blaming others and ratting out others to save his own ass.

Stevo718 - you don't need to become a Kobe fan to stay a Knicks fan.

New Yorkers cheer for the orange and blue laundry and the city it represents.

Think about it. Even though the Knicks would have no first round draft picks until 2012.

It was supposed to be a joke. But if we think about it.....Phil and Kobe don't like each other. If Kobe stays in LA and Phil Jackson wants out, then I would take him in a heartbeat ...as coach and GM. Really, who would you want as GM and coach of the Knicks, IT or Phil Jackson?

To paraphrase NYK3...."I wasn't born with enough fingers to wear all of Phil Jackson's championship rings."
