Will Allan Houston Make The Knicks Final Roster
No way this has Dolan written all over it
Yes ,I Believe His Knees Are Healed Allan Said So Himself
I Dunno Maybe, But He Won't Last Thru The All-Star Break
He Shouldn't Be Given A Chance Over Our Younger Players Period

THIS IS WHY I BELIEVE:“I really believe that a lot of prayer and belief has gotten me to this point,” Allan Houston said. “People are going to state facts about the condition of your knee. But miracles happen every day. So there’s some things you don’t explain, and I don’t really care.”

tell'em Allan
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

If you look closely at the poll, the first and last questions are designed to split the vote. Still 13 to 6 is really telling. The brain trust in Knicksville is in trouble.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Do you all remeber Terell Ownes playing in the superbowl after busting up his leg ? Many thought he was just gonna be a decoy that day.

Well I found out that a minister called him and told him that the Lord told him to pray for his healing for his leg and low and behold T.O was balling and eveybody who said he couldn't play in the superbowl and contribute was astonished!

Prayer changes things sometimes.

i think he will make the roster he knows how to capitalize when we have great post players...he is also said to be healthy and even crawford said so plus we dont have to pay 100 million for his services so why not give him a try

We need god & his son like we need a hole in the head. While your at it, pray for Dolan and Isiah's dismissle, okay? Pray extra hard. Pray very, very hard playa, I know you can do this. I have faith! Thanks!

The more important question is 'why not give Nichols a try?
I'll never trust this' team again.

Didn't Terrel Owens have to retire at 28 due to his injuries? I don't think he is such a good example.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

If Allan Houston is able to play this year, it's not because his knees miraculously healed, it will be because he is able to play through a lot of pain. By the way, he has already shown that he can play with lots of pain.

***

Houston should have gone for the meniscus transplant surgery like I did after my failed microfracture + 2 scopes. I had surgery to check out the knee this past September 19th, and the doctor was gaga over the improved condition of my knee. He said my arthritis had retreated somewhat, and he said my knee was not far off from a normal knee.

Compare that to the surgery I had before the transplant, the doctor said my knee resembled that of a 60 year ex-athlete, and I ain't nowhere near 60.

I can only imagine that with the top-notch rehab process and best of class medical care available to athletes of Houston's caliber (Not to mention his $$), I would expect it would have worked out even better for him.

I think if Houston makes the cut he will pay through the year on pride (And possibly painkillers.), then ride off into the sunset.

P.S. Guys talking about miracle cures to Houston's knee probably don't understand the nature of Houston's injury: The cushioning is gone between the bones above and below his knee. It's bone on bone. Cartilage does not grow back on its own in grown-ups. If it did not only would it be a miracle, he would be in every medical journal.

I think Houston is in camp because of a gentleman's agreement he has with Dolan:

1) Houston retires because he would have been ineffective and missed a lot of games, thus allowing the insurance company to pay off his contract rather than Dolan.

2) Now that Houston's contract is up and Dolan is no longer on the hook for the loot, Dolan allows him to attempt a comeback.

Doesn't that make sense considering they are buddies?

yeah! nice to hear.

You're telling me! I had played ball a few times over the summer, and I was able to perform very well, though I did have some pain, especially after the first time, and I did have one "incident".

The doc did have to suture one part of my meniscus during the last operation, he said in one small spot it hadn't completely adhered. Long story short, 6 weeks on crutches!

When I came in for my post-op visit, he was so excited, he was showing me pictures of my knee innards like he just had a baby boy!
