If I am Buss and my hand was pushed: Lee, Curry, Balk, DNich, Nate, Randolph Morris, Rose for Kobe, Radmanovic, Bynum and the rights to swap first round draft pick this coming year.

Look, there is NO WAY the Lakers trade Bynum if they move Kobe. I mean, the Lakers wouldn't trade Bynum to surround Kobe with JO or Kidd. They are definitely not going to move the player they deem to be their future along with the best guard in the NBA and possibly the best player overall (which is either Duncan or Kobe, with LBJ and Wade close behind).

do you think a team with 2 centers in Curry and Bynum could co-exist?

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I would trade any package of players from our team for 1 Kobe Bryant. The man is just that good.

yup, i've been saying the exact same thing... players like Kobe only come around once every generation... there isn't anyone on this team that should be spared if you have a chance to get a guy of his talent & ability.

No, that roster dynamic wouldn't work nor is it ideal. I do think, however, Curry is a requisite in a package for Kobe Brant. For starters, he is a young player, with an elite NBA skill signed to an appropriate contract. The Lakers would likely look to flip Curry much like they flipped Butler after identifying Odom as the player they wanted to keep. The inclusion of Curry is simply a way to maximize the value the Knicks can give the Lakers in a Kobe Bryant deal.

Isiah is too afraid to trade away players he brought in. He feels like it would be admitting to making a mistake. Which it isnt.

This is why we still have big snacks weighing down the end of the bench.

not so fast.
sbensol74 - Zeke's already traded players he's traded for. Can you say Tim Thomas?
besides, the final roster decisions ain't due to the NBA office until the 29th

If we know anything about that smarmy Isiah it is to expect the unexpected

You really think Isiah will trade away Curry after all the **** he took for trading away those picks? He's an egomaniac.

Thats all I'm saying.

With any trade that involves Kobe, the Lakers aren't going to get equal value back. That's what happens when you trade the best player in the league and possibly of this era so any trade to Lakers fans are going to seem absurd.

If the Lakers intend to move Kobe, then it would mean that they'll be in that in the "rebuild" mode. The most valueable asset to a team rebuilding is cap space so if the Lakers can get expiring contracts along with a few young players with potential, then I think tthey would do it.

My initial trade isn't as bad as some here would think, but still the Lakers would have to accept. The big problem is that Kobe has a no trade clause so it will have to be a team that he'd want to play for in order for him to waive the clause.

If he was coming to the Knicks:

They could send Kobe along with Radmanovic for Marbury, Lee, Chandler, and Curry. They get 3 young players in Curry (24) Lee (24) and Chandler (20). The main player of course is Marbury who's $22M contract expires in 08-09. Combine that with Odom's $14M, which expires at the same time, and the Lakers have tons of cap to get some more young players or rising stars. Throw in a lottery pick here and there, then the Fakers team will be on its way.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Nate Robinson and Jamal Crawford along D.Lee and Curry a package for Kobe Bryant and Andrew Bynum .

I WOULD IN A HEART BEAT

The question is 'would Buss do it'. I'd say no way in hell, especially since Bynum is in it. We'd have to give up about half the team for the both of them. And that's just a consideration.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Kobe wants to leave because of Bynum

I can't believe that. Kobe may be incredibly frustrated with the likes of a young Bynum but he doesn't wanna leave just because of him - big difference. Kobe wants to be on a winning team that goes deep into the playoffs. Bynum is part of the problem.

With Bynum, Zach, whomever, Marbury and Kobe starting, that would be enough for wins and playoffs.

I could just see Kobe co-existing with suckbury. It would be like him having Shaq back again and complaining how he'll be holding his potential back. Especially since sucks doesn't like to share the ball much. But you's wanna know the truth of why we'd have a really hard time getting Kob? Suckbury is making way too much damn money. He's hogging the $$$, just like he hogs the ball.
I'll never trust this' team again.

leaving lakers is one thing. but i would not accept kobe + bynum because a fued just might spill over to new york. we dont need any more drama

We don't need anymore drama (?) which is why we went out and got convict Zach and broken down Houston. But at least Kob would be well worth it. At least he'll probably break out several times this next season with 50 or more points in a game. But then again, Isiah doesn't believe in a sure thing. He only goes for underdogs, potential, but never the sure thing. Why figure out a way to make the money work, let some of it finish out in a contract or two, wait for the next two big names to be available and then have a package to offer a few superstars. But no! That would mean success. Hell no! We can't have that now could we? The proof is in the 'damage already done'! The signings of convict Zach, Broken down Houston, lazy ass Curry, big mouthed suckbury, punk ass Nate, worthless Jerome, fake defensive stopper JJ2 and a few other phonies. And I haven't even mentioned the rooks who have yet to be proven and the potentials in Lee, Balkman & Collins who are suddenly having injury problems. Probably going the way of Channing Frye, another failure. A team of nitwits, signed by Mr. Nitwit himself. You want a piece of me, go ahead, but you know it's all true. Sitting right there in front of you's.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Papabear Says

Lets get real Kobe aint being moved this season and by the news papers and people talking about. this will only hurt the players we have now. Let's focus on what we have. Yes Kobe is a superstar and if we get him we will have to give up our best players. I wan't to grow with these young Knicks. Look how David Lee has matured. This team we have now will be more appreciate when we go to the Finals
