purple - I totally agree on concerns about Quentins' health. I have a bad feeling about his back holding up over the course of the NBA deathmarch of a schedule.

The Knicks may be one of those teams where the guard responsibilities are not divided with a hard line to separate who handles the ball, distributes, or calls plays.

I hope Allan Houston shares some science with Mardy Collins and Demetris Nichols

Past that, I'm not wed to any of them, including Marbury.

Witness the evolution of a hatter.

I agree with misterearl... JC at the point is very, very appealing to me. He is a big, lightning-fast guy who plays his best basketball when he looks to get others involved first and shoot during the last two minutes of each half. There's also the point that he is the only guard who can effectively make an entry pass... seems to be important with the offense the team is employing.

My ideal starting lineup right now would have to be:
PG: Crawford
SG: QRich
SF: Lee
PF: Randolph
C: Curry

Do I think that David Lee is a SF? No. Do I think that getting Lee and Randolph on the court for as many minutes as possible is a key to this season? Yes.

The Knicks are terrible at many things, but rebounding isn't one of them. Abusing teams on the glass will cover up many of these deficiencies... like, it doesn't matter if the team shoots 30% from 3 pt. range if QRich, Lee and Randolph hit the glass hard and if Lee, Randolph and Curry shoot a combined 55%.

Minutes is going to be a problem so I would like to see how Isiah works that out but this is what the line-up should be

Curry
Randolph
Balkman
Richardson
Marbury

or

Curry
RZandolph
Lee(even though I hate it when he plays the 3)
Richardson
Marbury.

Our most ballenced lineup that I think would win us the most games is:

Collins
Crawfod
Balkman
Lee
Randolph

Once healthy I would play 9 guys...
Marbury/Houston/Q/Zach/Curry
with Nate/Crawford/Balkman/Lee off the bench

only reason I play 9 instead of 8 is I want to limit the wear and tear injuries. Good halfcourt first unit and good uptempo 2nd unit

Elite - you rock

Zach just may be Nyabinghi enough to make your creative lineup work

CDB - Minutes ain't never a probem when you have upgraded the talent, which the Knicks have done in the past two years. Minutes are eaned, not promised

best five play

SupremeCommander - I salute you

Crawford at the point until Balkman develops a jumper and plays the two.

Then it's REALLY on and poppin'!

I cannot see the starting lineup of Q Rich, Marbury, Z-BO, and Crawford.

This lineup plays very tentative and unsure.

This lineup needs some new blood inserted into the lineup.

IMHO Q needs to sit along with Crawford.

If this team is all about feeding the post and opening up the offense, we won't need marbury and Q Rich early on in the game.

Mind you I like both players but our chemistry issues have risen again when it comes to starting slow.

If you noticed last night the starters don't seem to have a guy who gets everybody into a groove(leadership) early on in a game and that is the same problem from last season.

I think we need some energizer bunnies inserted in the starting lineup .

Who it is will be up to Isiah to decide.

Does anybody see what I am seeing ?
Not Isiah Thomas, and his opinion in the end is the only one that counts unfortunately.

You will see Marbury, Craw, Q, Zach and Curry.

Hey Mista, what did crawford do running the point when steph went down with an injury ?

They wouldn't need to rebound as much , with that lineup no one would stop them from shooting 55% from the field.

I know this isn't popular opinion, but I kinda do like Crawford at the 1. He doesn't play as recklessly as he normally does when he (tries to) run the offense.
