That is accurate for last season. The season before Lee was a rookie as was Nate. Even last season was less talented because of Frye starting not Zach. I dont personally think our talent has been very good up until last season. Our talent from 2002-2005 was below average.

I also didnt say if everything clicks. I just said if we stay healthy.

So mutiny, apathy, chemistry problems, Wackobury, embattled management, etc, can't derrail this train? It has before...

They can for sure but I dont see it as likely.

Mutiny wont happen. Players are loyal to Isiah

Apathy I do no see happening. Too many competive guys.

Chemistry problems are always possible with new players.

"Wackobury" could cause a lot more problems in the past than he can now. In the past he had more power than the coach. Now he is viewed as the 4th best player by most fans and his power is minimal.

Management problems are hard to imagine. Dolan and Isiah are tied at the hip and Isiah is basically his own boss.

Health problems are the most likely problem. If they are avoided 48 wins is a reasonable goal in my opinion.

I hear where you are coming from, all I can say is those same arguments could have been made last year, in the post Larry Brown era, and still they posed problems. Theory aside, it's up to the team to silence it's critics for a change.

I agree if healthy there is no excuse not to win.
Some of the critics will remain critics regardless.

Every year is different. Different players. different coachs. Different win totals.

That really should be: Mostly the same players, same coach, similar win total.

Every year is different... but oddly similar.

The smilies are really helping.

I'm glad you like them. It lets people know that I'm not angry , even if I use STRONG words.

It was working. You should keep them. Maybe not quite so many as that last post tho.

Not kidding at all. I see big things for this team and it seems like Knicks fans are happy with the win while KNicks haters are bitter.

If you think that the people that post regularly on this site aren't knick fans, you need your head checked. Do you honestly think that non-Knick fans would waste that much time here? Remember, people don't get paid to post on this site.

Are you sure?

One way to distinguish critics from a supporters is supporters feel it's their job to silence the critics, the critics feel it's the teams job.

That is a friggin great quote!!!!!! Not as good as:

But great nonetheless.

Cossucks,

Forget about the management problems, chemistry, mutiny, apathy or any other off the court issues. There is absolutely no way that the Knicks will win anywhere near 48 games. They just aren't that good. Also even when the Knicks were healthy last year they were still well under .500 for a good portion of the season. And I do like Zach Randolph and he is a very talented player but he isn't a 15 win improvement good.

48 wins is worth what the 3rd or 4th spot in the East most likely and the Knicks will be lucky if they even finish 3rd in their division.

Be honest would you even consider making this predicition if this was any team other than the Knicks?

I view our top 9 guys as talented as any other teams top 9 in the east so why not? We are undefeated in preseason and the summer league so look out. The Knicks are coming!

By the way with no injury collaspe I view our team last season as a 40 win team so Zach and Chandler plus all our other young guys having another years experience is only an 8 game improvement for me.

Who the hell is Chandler? No seriously come on Zach never changed any win/loss total in Portland but so how is it going to be different now that he's in NY surrounded by no consistent outside shooters or a true point guards? And if Zach and Chandler are worth 15 wins than you must think the Celtics are going to have a 70 win season. And NJ should be winning around 60 games with Kristic back and the acquisition of Malgolire.

I just told you in the post you quoted that Zach and Chandler will mean 8 more wins not 15.

A healthy Marbury, Qrich, Crawford, and Lee last season would meant 7 more wins in itself.

48 wins is unacceptable. I need us to win around 15 games which should put us in prime position to draft Derek Rose. This way our new coach and gm doesn't have to deal with Pinheadbury next season.

Injury collapse... is that what it's called when Marbury breaks down in tears when a player gets injured, like Crawford? Curry and James are hurt now, I wonder if he's had another injury collapse this year.

I would expect around 8-12 playoff wins as well!

Knicks fans up Knicks haters down!

Started out 3-0 in Pre-season last yr finished 4-2 and delivered an impressive regular season out of the gate on pace to a 38win season. Look at the start simply champion like

http://www.nba.com/knicks/schedule/results_2006.html

Lovers have the unconditional Love(The kind of love where their baby can do no wrong and when in a jam proceeds to bail them out every time, which leads to self destruction never learning from istakes)

Haters have that tough Love(The kind of Love that disciplines, every now and then lays the belt on the back side and when kid gets in a jam when it's clearly their fault takes the hands off approach and leaves them to find their own way out, which leads to them becoming stronger and learning from mistakes)
