Don't the Knicks have a 7 foot center on their roster that Isiah signed to a max contract with the intention that he would be their starting center? That's what Isiah keeps telling us.

So guess what? NO EXCUSES

What 7 foot player did Isiah sign to a Max contract?

The only 7 footer on the roster is James and he signed a Mid Level Exception contract not a Max contract.

Max as in I SAY UGH gave him a FULL MLE DEAL. He gave him the max any team without cap space could give him including yrs.

That was the largest contract that they could have signed him to. It was also a max MLE contract.

Hence, it was a max contract.

It's understood I knew exactly what Isles was talking about. Max can be/and often times is understood as the most money a player can get. I think every fan with common sense knows James doesn't make 20-25% of the salary cap.

Could they have offered James a day or a dollar more than they signed him to?

It's not a MAX contract but it's the FULL MLE where Isiah could've signed him to a short contract with little money and with the rest add a different player to the team.

But of course, Isiah determines players by playoff series. Same goes for Jeffries, he's a good role player but not worth the FULL MLE

That doesn't in any way shape or form make it a max contract. It remains an mle contract. Guys like Kobe, Shaq, Duncan, etc sign Max contracts. Jerome James has never signed a max contract.

So the center of our team, gets hurt, thus hindering the opportunity for Curry and Zach to gain on the court chemistry, and instead of the majority of us saying "Hope he gets back soon," we resort to "No excuses." Nice.
"Man, who knows with this team." Aguirre.

The fact that they couldn't have offered him a dollar more or a day more, makes it a max contract.

It's just that simple.

It's one in the same when players on rookie deals are looking at extensions often referred to as Max Rookie Contract extension. Pretty elementary ABC 123

disagree. it was not a max contract for james. he could have received more from another team under the cba. which he richly deserved.

and i don't want to hear any cracks about him deserviing to be in the cba.

Not talking about any other team. We're talking about the Knicks. And that contract that James signed, and so richly deserved, was the maximum contract that the Knicks could have signed him to.

If Isiah still owned the CBA, James would be there. With a max contract.

Sorry thats just not the case. Look in to the NBA CBA agreement.
There is a huge difference between a MLE contract and a MAX contract.
