marv - let us agree to not have this devolve into a semantics debate, or a series of "yo momma" jokes (which can be very enteraining in the hands of experienced practicioners)

here is a guide to my random insights:

1. this has never been a place where scientific research has been the basis for any opinion

2. I ain't mad at nobody

3. it's only entertainment and if some choose to entertain themselves with insults of Knicks players, what is the difference when I throw it out there that Marbury's wacky verbal trips, and bigger hat size, could have been the result of being on the juice?

Do I have proof? Hell naw.

when did that ever stop anyone?

the inclusion of that phrase now makes it an interesting debate. if you state he IS on them, then you have to back it up. that's not any different than the way things have always been here.

But just for the record, in case anyone gets confused, I hope that Marbury:

1. learns to love feeding the post from a variety of angles

2. discovers the subtle variety of Zach's game and daps him up on every jumper he drains

3. averages 9 assists, 7 rebounds and 14 points for the season

4. stays healthy

5. feels the competitive fire of the yoots in the backcourt breathing on his minutes

I hope that Marbury quits basketball and joins South Park as a regular character.

Is.. was... might be... his momma was... c'mon Marv... howcum you don't bring as much competitive fire to the posts that constantly disparage Knicks players?

I thought we wuz boys.

But, back to the case at hand. Now that Marbury is OFF the juice, I think he'll make one helluva basketball player again.

Besides Marv, you conveniently overlooked my first post that suggested some medical trickeration

"BasketballJones - could it be that Marbury and (cough) Marion Jones (Barry Bonds) shared the same pharmacist?"

The operative word is "could"

cuz i'm too busy disparaging them myself!

but seriously, if the shoe were on the other foot, i think you would have also jumped all over someone's assertion that a knick player IS on the juice, or any other unsubstantiated claim. how would you have reacted if someone said, "from the pictures of craw, you can tell he took steroids to put on that muscle?"

You guys are being mean to the mister. He's climbed the rope, he's knocking on the tree-house door, he wants to come in and be part of the Marbury hater club. He's even brought cupcakes. Let the poor guy in.

But Seriously Folks..

Marv - I'm pleased as punch that Crawford, according to second-hand reports and doctored photgraphs (all photos which are published are either second or third generation and any graphic design intern can tell you that scans are subject to change) seems to have added a few pounds.

Whether that will make him any less prone to turnovers or more amenable to hitting the open man, in place of taking the shot himself - with under two minutes to play - remains to be seen.

Is it television that makes you look five heavier?

That's bad news for Eddy Curry

craw still has an inner rip hamilton begging to come out. maybe we'll see it this year.

and eddy? he's a sexy beast, no matter how cruelly the camera treats him.

now let's all put our minds to good use and concentrate on hoping that playoff hero big game james survives the current witchhunt.

Has anyone seen my old friend Kelvin Cato?

Big Game James' minutes will be taken by Randolph Morris.

But, as any graphic desgn intern knows, you gotta have at least 3 centers in this man's NBA.

not to mention the emergence of Jamal Crawford as a consistent scorer.

when did they change the definition of consistent?

Consistent scorers don't shoot 4 for 24 'consistently'

Consistent is right. Consistently CHUCKING that is!

Maybe after Italybury goes far far away, Jamal won't be influenced to forget about his teammates and chuck the ball up 10 so much.

Solace - I'm with Andrew on this one. What is the point of your repeated redundancy?

You hate Marbury. We get it. We get it. Okay?

When you stop yours, respond to the actual points posed and drop off your fantasy land, let's talk. Until then, what Andrew says applies to you as well.

"I know what I am but what are you...?"

Solace - If you have one original creative thought related to Knicks basketball, or even Stephon Marbury, I would be overjoyed to discuss it.

Fantasy Is Just another form of positive thought. I don't see a problem with it

If that's so, then how come ever time I've tried to have a legitimate conversation with you, you've changed the topic? Or you respond to the bits you can point at and ignore the big picture? Furthermore, you post three times with less content than one post. If you can explain to me why you do this, other than to frustrate myself and other posters, I'm all ears.
