Frankly these two are disgraceful. Eddy doesn't even like basketball and plays simply for the money, which is fine you can't blame him. But losing 5 pounds over the summer. Lets review May, June, July, August, Sep, Oct, Eddy Curry your a ****ing disgrace thats not even a pound a month. These two didn't show up to any workouts and just hung out all summer long and neither are in shape.

You get what you pay for, and these are isiah thomas players, all skill/talent no desire. They are already not getting along behind the scenes from what i have been hearing. And lets remember how eddy responds when he isn't forcefed the ball. At least zach rebounds eddy doesn't do anything. And of course there will be the lovers which are the ignorant fans, pleading for time for the experiment to work, but lets face it everyone was aprehensive about these two and they are already proving most right, with skipping summer workouts with teammates and coming in out of shape. But Q said...........

Bull****, we need to really start getting rid of these guys, asap if this disgraceful excuse for a franchise is going to become respectable again, isiah and dolan proved yet again today the knicks are a second class organization and that loyal fans have to summer because dolan is nothing more than a substance abusive, trust fund baby that has no business concept and has destroyed this once proud team. A little professionalism would go a long way.

MS please tell us your course for Curry "only" losing 5 pounds? Are you so upset that you cant say he gained a lot of weight? Is your "source" the same poster on a message board as True blue quoted who was 100% wrong about James gaining 20 pounds? All of the beat writers who saw Curry yesterday are saying Curry looked good but a poster on a message board that has never been in the same room as Curry must know better.

Neither Curry nor Zach look fat to me. If you are determined to hate on them be my guest.

Guys have different body types. If Lee is 2 inchs shorter and 250 pounds and skinny as a rail Jeffries is 240 pounds there is no reason to reasonably expect Curry to be at 260 pounds. Thats just not his build. My guess is right now he is around 275-280. Currys arms looked more toned than David Lees in yesterdays picture. Currys 1 arm looks to be about twice the size of Zachs arms. If you watch the Knicks videos or see closeups of Currys face you can see he has toned up.
Curry is a big man with a big build. Shaq is probably around 330-340 pounds. Nobody expects Shaq to be at 260 pounds.

So Zach is out of shape and probably about 260lbs, Curry has double the arms he has, his chest, mid section, and legs are bigger than Zach but he's only 15lbs heavier than him? OK GOTCHA!

When did I say how much Zach is? All I did was give a guess on Currys weight. I havent weighed anyone. Seems like you just want people to say Curry is out of shape despite all reports to the contrary. Not one single beat writer said Curry looked out of shape. Not 1. I could not care less if he weighs 270 or 295. Its about being in condition. He seems toned. His arms look rock solid. His face looks lighter. The guy doesnt have the genetic predisposition to be a rail thin guy like a Jeffries. Nor do Knicks fans want him to be one.

Zach's listed playing weight is about 255lbs and he admitted he's out of shape. He's has to be about 5-10lbs overweight. Nor is anyone saying he should be a rail like Jeffries although when he was on Ephedra in Chicago he played at 265lbs.

Zach saying he is in OK shape doesnt mean he is 255,265 or 275. Shape doesnt always mean weight. He could weigh 230 and not be in shape.
Zach did not admit he was out of shape. I dont know how you take his quote and then change it to him admitting he was out of shape. He said he was in OK shape and he was going to get a lot better threw practices.

Zach saying he's in "ok shape" is not the same as admitting he's out of shape. This is not to say he is "in shape" but you are taking liberties that involve misrepresenting his words with your paraphrasing.

It will all be up to the PG. Guys in Phoenix and NJ don't worry about touches and finding ways to co-exist.

Yeah they do. Their names are Shawn Marion and Richard Jefferson

Being in anything less than top shape is out of shape for the NBA.

I just dont see Zack making it through training camp. I could see a injury, or sickness in the family take away from training camp

I'm not going to read the article. They either mesh well or they don't. I don't want any predictions, or 'hey I feel great' talk. If they play well together to have a decent season, then that would help. If not, I'd prefer that they all shut thier mouths. Just shut it and play the damn game.
I'll never trust this' team again.

4949 - how do you propose the players respond to the daily inquiries of New York beat writers on deadlines for the next eight months, seven days a week?

Do you really think, "shutting their mouths" is an option?

or would that make them subject to NBA fines for being non-cooperative?

King1, unless you have something concrete, why even make a statement like this? What the hell are you getting at? Usually you have some great insights, but this seems a bit offbase. Did you hear something specific about his family situation or his health?

Now as for the other pessimists around here, it's the same old CRAP with some of you guys. What is all this about Zach being "out of shape"? To be honest the whole idea of "Training Camp" is to get into game shape. Most players who have been working out on their own, likely still aren't in game shape. It's just hard to simulate that intensity. So they'll have them doing two a days, scrimmages, drills and in time they'll get to the level they should be in.

I was only asking if you have something MORE than just the fact that he went home to be with his ailing grandmother. You mentioned "injury" and you made it sound like his stay away from the team would be for an extended time. Do you know something more than what has been reported or not? I didn't see anything that indicated he'd miss most or all of training camp because of this. Is there an injury or are you just speculating that he'll get some kind of injury out of the blue?

no injury he left to be with his grandmother I didnt know it was already reported. I am looking at Zach history the guy showed up the day of physicals, was at a strip club last year on bereavement leave, and know leaves first day of practice. Do you really think he will try and get back ASAP
