This calls for total change within the organization!

Hopefully, with all the mayhem going on, this might be a good thing for the Knicks.

This could be the beginning of something good.

Tired of dolan, Isiah and marbury. We need new blood that can represent Knicks B-ball in the proudest way!

NEW YORK (AP) -- A jury ruled Tuesday that New York Knicks coach Isiah Thomas sexually harassed a top team executive, subjecting the married mother of three to unwanted advances and a barrage of verbal insults.

But the jury also ruled that Thomas does not have to pay punitive damages to the women, giving him a partial victory after an ugly, three-week trial.

The jury did find that Madison Square Garden committed harassment against the woman, and ruled that MSG should have to pay her punitive damages.

U.S. District Judge Gerard E. Lynch called it an "imminently reasonable" verdict and said the jury will be asked to return later in the day to hear brief arguments on possible punitive damages against MSG.

The harassment verdict was widely expected after the jury sent a note to the judge Monday indicating that it believed Thomas and the other defendants, Madison Square Garden and MSG Chairman James Dolan, sexually harassed plaintiff Anucha Browne Sanders. But the question of whether Thomas would have to pay punitive damages was up in the air until Tuesday.

I thought they were deadlocked on that issue and it was declared a mistrial on whether or not Isiah should pay punitive damages.

That's a big difference.

The big money was never going to come from Isiah for sexually harassing her, it was always going to come from MSG for her wrongful termination.

Dolan is going nowhere. What's the best Stern can do? Suspend Dolan from the Knicks, while he still owns Madison Square Garden? Dolan would STILL be an influence. I think the more powerful thing that happens is Charles Dolan interfering and forcing James Dolan to get his filthy hands away from anything closely related to Cablevision and possibly find a more competant CEO to represent the Knicks. I doubt that though.

...Anyone with a brain in their head said they should have settled...

Yup.

I'm not sure what a fair settlement to Anucha Browne Sanders might have been but I'd say she's owed some serious cash, considering that they took it trial and lost.

Zeke's officially, legally, an a--hole now.

I tend to have Republican Moments about sexual harrassment suits and I'm half Socialist. Seems to me that a certain amout of crap is just something you have to put up with, regardless of how distasteful, and that over regulating harrassment is bad government . That said, based on what I read about the trial, Browne Sanders had a strong case and good reason to get legal on Zeke and Dolan and I'm happy she won. Zeke and Dolan deserve to take a big financial hit for screwing with Browne Sanders and, of course, they need to clean up their work place. In a fair world, Dolan would resign/sell and Zeke would be fired. If I was playing pro ball, and I'm not, but FWIW, I'd think twice before signing up to play for Dolan's team, who wants to work for a--holes?

Maybe the only positive that can come out of this is maybe these idiots have learned a lesson in humility. Maybe they will take their jobs more seriously on a daily basis and conduct themselves are professionals. And for the NITWITTED thinking that says "well this goes on everywhere even in everyday corporate America doesn't condone the fact of the wrong and our organization not having enough control over the situations to make sure they stay in house. They're getting what they deserve.

Anyone with a brain in their head said they should have settled. Dolan is unreal. He's so terrible, it's legendary.

Clearly this case should have settled. The Knicks hand out millions to cut players like it was candy, but they take this case to court over $10 million and give the whole organization a black eye for their trouble. I know she would have taken $5-$6 mil.

Look most Knick fans have seen all the nonesense that happens on the court this case only showed us what most of us already assumed which is that the Garden is being run by a bunch of unqualified Frat boys who treat the Knicks like their Fantasy league team.

+1.

The minute these guys found out about the Marbury connection, they should've been on the phone looking for a way out. Once that happened they should have figured it was going to start getting out of hand. I didn't even know about the part in the article where Isiah admitted he tried to kiss her. All I know is that the phone call to ABS's lawyer wouldn't have been a long one. It would have consisted of two word. "How much?".

There's a chance that the jury could award Anucha much more than $10M.

Jury seems to have gotten it right. Thomas was guilty but it was within the confides of a corp structure so he should not have to pay. If she worked for the Dale and Thomas that is a different matter.

Given that she was harrassed, then the wrongful termination will stick and this thing could go well over 10 mil.

Given that money is not an issue then perhaps a strong message will be sent to MSG and she could have a boat load coming to her, with a settlement negotiated if they don't appeal.

And appealing would make MSG look really worse. They phuched up, they should pay the lady and fire Isiah, and hopefully wins will make this go away!

If the jury wants to be fair and just, then anything awareded to her over 1 million would be criminal on their behalf...... With the evidence I heard in this case, I really don't see how they even came to that conclusion.. but whatever...
