Anybody else notice when Granik piked the 2nd overall pick memphis ..he like grimaced and said the memphis grizzles like they made a mistake
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Good points - Hometown may be the biggest issue with LeBron, but then again Shaquille wasn't very metropolitain when he was drafted...I was working in Orlando when Shaq came in, and he was fairly country. But the exposure became intoxicating.

Actually I'm not on a die-hard TMac or LeBron kick...just that 90% of posters always go on about how we need a 'legit superstar' in NY, so it seems the only way to envision a star coming is after Houston's contract is done. The most we can get before that would apparently be a could-be star with some bad blood, like Spree's fight with PJ, which got us the Starks bargain. Seems like only Sheed and Coleman are in similar places...

wow really. i was living in orlando when they were building their arena but i moved before i had a chance to go to a game.

i agree with what you are saying about controversy signings but with the "new knicks" i don't think that is even a hopeful option.

gary coleman? i heard he isn't worth the trouble...
all those years as a fan and now i'm the anti-knick. life is crazy aint it.

I don't trust the Knicks front office this offseason any nore than I did the last two years. Time for some Homeland Security at MSG...

Get Osama Bin Layden outta there... ASAP!

I can see him screwing our team up for as long as he is GM. Then maybe we can get to the real discussion- that these Cablevision Dolan idiots sell the Knicks (and Rangers and MSG) to someone who cares. I don't want to see my Knicks go out like The Wiz.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Ha! But he'll play for the league minimum.

Then somebody might start shooting you! We can't take on no more shooting guards unless we have a deal to get rid of some.
It's that kind of thinking that made the NY brass select Fredrick Weis over Ron Artest. Wouldn't you rather have Artest now, even if it's crowded?

Well, if Weis just sucked, then there's no reason at all for taking him, even if there was no Artest...just a bad evaluation of talent, it would appear. How can that happen, Scott? HOW?

If I'm the Knicks I try and get Travis Outlaw

i agree. if i'm layden i take travis outlaw with the 9th pick. and i live with it

the reason why I take him with out pick is because the draft is deep with young players and foreign players, the knicks have 2 high second round picks, they will surely be able to get 1st round talent with those picks, guys like lang, villanueva, troy bell, will be around then, now is the time for the knicks to get some young cheap talent, unless someone blows us away with a trade, and I am talking about giving us a young talent, who isn't comming off injury...

When was the last time LayDown gave the team a real shot in the arm with some young, athletic, and uninjured talent?

He's gonna screw the team and the fans who follow them (us) again if he is given another "chance" to "improve" the team...

I tend to agree with you here, but for us diehards sakes, I hope we are wrong, but looking at laydens track record, how can we think that he will give us the needed shot in the arm....

Layden must be impeached before the draft.

If Laydumb trades Milos (a la D. Harvey) it will be yet further proof the Knicks will never develop talent and Laydumb will continue on his path to franchise destruction.

I heard lang is a beast so if we can get him in the second round that may be a steal, but if sofo measures under 6'10 then I might pass on him, I would also take Outlaw over villanueva but the direction you are going is correct. we need to stockpile and hope that these guys along with milos pan out, I mean if 2 of them are bust and 2 of them are diamonds then the draft and wait will all be worth it...
