Solace - if it were a black guy saying something about white people? Come on man. You come off just like a guy like o'reilly. If its racist its rasist. Funny thing is you will never see a minority on cnn or fox news being openly ignorant and racist. Stephan a. Smith is the only guy I can think of that totally blast political topics in the manner of a o'reilly. Think is stephan a. Smith though is obnoxious, he still manages to be genuine and fair with plenty of common sense. Please don't bring comedians in this. There are comedians of all race that use steriotypes in their acts, but when they are interviewed they can explain where they are comming from much clearer. Besides they aren't on a political forum such as o'reilly and that idiot imus. Anyway, Why do you always have to repel things back on another race. O'reilly made the comments. Why repel it back onto innocent people with the word if? The fact is if didn't happen. If it did then that woulld mark a huge discussion.
Why do you make it sound like I'm defending O'Reilly? I clearly denounced his actions.
I also wasn't commenting about the media, although I will say, while Steven A. is blatant, he's not the only one who crosses the line in the media, IMHO. As for what I said, I'm simply saying that to complain about something like this, you are (or should be saying) that it's unfair, because everyone should be seen equally. Yet, there's all this junk on this forum about how white guys can't possibly understand anything about being black and shouldn't talk, and blacks should have their own rules. That doesn't sound like equality to me. On this forum, people in their fantasy worlds have determined at various points, that it's okay to curse out a black woman if you're black, murdering dogs is okay, prostitution should be legal, Katrina happened because New Orleans had a high black population and they were poor, etc.... I'm all fine for having rational discussions, but a few on this board are on another planet. This post was a clear bait attempt to see if anyone would defend O'Reilly, so it can be thrown in their faces. Unfortunately, the poster discovered that not everyone is a hypocrite.
So, you ask why I bring it up? Probably my own stupidity, since I'm the only one with the balls to say something, even though other posters have told me they feel the same way.

It shouldn't be surprising that our country is now extremely sensitive to any anti-black racism.
Understandable, but that has nothing to do with my comment. Sensitivity is one thing. Having different rules whenever it suits you is another.
