AK-47 between Zack and Curry look like a good front court to me.Balkman could do it but it would be freaking awesome to delete jared, jones and dicjau for this guy.

AK is a great fit for our frontline. I don't trust his head because he has shown what happens to him when he doesn't like his situation. It's very unprofessional. But his skills are a good fit. If you acquire him you are still in the mode where you have to find consistent shooters at the PG and SG positions in order to be considered a legit team.
I just hope that people will like me

lmao. That's not nearly as bad as that pose Stephon Marbury made after Jamal Crawford hit a big shot. And don't act like you don't know, b/c you know exactly which one I'm talking about. It's the one where he was going WOOOOOOOOOOO, and walking towards him slouched, swaying sideways kinda.

PS: Typical Newbie post. Almond and AK47 for expirings, Malik, Balk and Nate. Waka waka waka...

Do you wear a mouthguard in his honor?

Cause he reminds me of how I would play like if I were 6'11" and couldn't do anything but shoot. Seriously though, he's a goofball like me, who cares if he's not shattering NBA records. What's wrong with rooting for who you like?

I'm a hardcore Knicks fan anyway, it's not like I hate the Knicks because he left. Been a fan for 15+ years since I was 7 and listening to Knick games on the radio and punching the walls everytime Starks, Smith, or Ewing (my previous favorite player) let us down.

I just want the team to get better. Everyone here pretty much thinks the Knicks as of now are a fringe playoff team if even that. Picking up Kirilenko almost guarantees us around a 4 spot with his defense alone, he fits really well with the lineup, he's extremely versatile and no one questions his work ethic. He's just the kind of guy you just let loose and he'll perform, a pure hustler, who could possibly hate to have him on their team, besides the Jazz? And money wise, it's the Knicks. We'll be in salary cap hell for the next decade, might as well throw another log in the fire but make it a big log as we get rid of the players we really have no need for and would probably cut or let go soon anyway (Rose, Dickau, Jones).

And you're dreaming. AK47 is still a superstar talent, despite the injuries. He's gonna want either a star in return, or top draft picks or top young players. Not 2 lousy ending contracts and a respectable hustle player.

whoa, let's not throw around the S word so freely.

AK is good, I wouldn't go so far to call him a superstar

I don't think AK would be a good fit here. We need outside shooting at the three to balance out our inside game and spread the d. I think what AK47 needs to do is bulk up and reinvent his game as a power foward. He doesn't have the quicknees and shooting skills that most teams want at sf.

Ron Ron out in Sac with Marbs! NY west!
Well if we did trade for Bibby str8 up that would hook this team up. He would figure out how to set up EZ passes for sure- even if he is a step slower than before-
I think to get AK47 you have to give up Balky-not just the expirings- are you willing to do that?

I'm not- I really like Balkman and think he's going to be a great role player good enough to start on a good team.

Ak-47 blocks shots and does everything well except shoot the three. He also looks like drago, but is really the nicest person you can meet.

Seriously, I don't know about him really, but the knicks need to clear 2 roster spots.

I think Utah would rather keep the young guy and hope he can work out of this funk he has. At the same time if the dude is bitching like that and doesn't want to play for Utah, trade him. Yge knicks can help relieve the financial commitment by shipping Jones and dickau. Jared is a good guy and can full the role ak-47 did. At least he can duplicate the numbers ak-47 out up last year.

Still some team would pay to get him. Maybe, maybe not but Utah is not gonna get screwed if they trade him. They need to get past this drama and focus on who wants to be in Utah and continue building a good team.

Let's not forget he is injury prone and will be making close to $18 million in his last year, 2010/2011.

A trade would allow the Jazz to get under the cap and possibly sign a superstar for the max contract.

I think AK and Artest would play similiar roles on the team. They have similiar problems too. I think they both want to be major players on offense. I'd love either one but I think Artest would come far more cheaply.

I don't want players who are overly concerned about how many shots they take.
