Knowing that Oden is out for the year with microfracture, which roster and situation would you rather have right now and going forward?
Blazers
Knicks

Well, I think it's pretty apparent. When all you do is praise other teams, even the bad ones and bash this one, you're NOT a fan. It's really that simple.

this one seems to have jsut as many fans of other teams
Who? I haven't come across one poster that that would apply to.

The team has to do something to earn our praise. When the Clippers were awful for two decades, were the real fans the only ones who praised them? Now, realize that we've been awful for almost one decade.

Bonn, you are not even close to a fan, but if you are, you are simply jumping on the hate knicks bandwagon, which is worst.

what's the vote. Looks like the knicks win.

This is a fan board after all.

btw, talk bball, check out briggs thread.

The Blazers were winning until you voted with all your screen names, RV.
BTW, I was the first person to reply to briggs thread.

The Blazers may end up being a force for years if Oden is healthy. The Knicks should also be a force in the East over the next 5 years. It's not like we have a bunch of scrubs on this team. We've got some serious talent here too. Just cuz you have players like Oden and Roy doesn't mean you're a lock for the finals. T-Mac and Yao are top players and they haven't been in the finals. There's a lot more to it.

There is a lot more to it. And not only have the Knicks failed to begin answering the question, they can't even understand the question, so for you to suggest that the Knicks will be " a force in the East over the next 5 years" is completely asinine.

I don't think it's completely out of the world to think that we could develop into a very good team. We certainly have the talent on O and in fact that was not the main problem even last year. If we can play better D and it can happen w/o complete roster overhual. For example, Dallas morphed into a good team defensively. While it may be a little bit of a risk, it is such with alot of teams. It's certainly no more asinine than a Nets fan posing as a Knicks fan on a Knicks board.

Isles, you don't have the patience to see one day ahead of you so how are you going to make the asumption that you know what the Knicks will be 5 years from. What question do you want the Knicks to answer for you, that they are trying to get better, what do you want answered maybe Marbury will answer it for you since you have a connection with him now. How can the knicks get better in your eyes when you criticize any move they make the Knicks could land Kobe and you will find room for criticism. For you the Knicks can never be right. But it looks like your never gonna forgive the Knicks its best if you root for another team it would be in your best interest you might be happier. Go root for the Spurs you will win championships and be happier, lets face it rebuilding isn't for you. You need a team from the get go to be a championship contender. The KNicks are a building team so lets face it you can't handle it.

Wow, I can't believe the voting.

Definitely Blazers in my opinion. I think Oden will be a franchise player and Roy is also a very good young talent. I'm positive they win at least one championship in the future. I can't say the same about our team though.

He wants to do genuine rebuild rather than quick-fix re-tooling where you bring in overpaid players that no one else wants? How is he the one without patience???

OK - I made it 50/50 with my vote.
We are too deep in hater/lover contest again...
But in reality we have GreatFutureSeekers against MediocrityNow contest.
Yep - we are probably better now with mediocrity and will have no lottery again next year.
And yep - Portland has much better future with Oden or without.

It's pretty obvious the Blazers are sitting where the grass is greener.

Microfracture or not, they have 2 potenential franchise players in Oden and Roy. You see, it took the Portland fans and the organization as a whole to realize that Roy can be their franchise player simply after playing 1 season.

As for the Knickerbockers, its going to be their "franchise player's" 7th season in the league. This forum needs less homerism and more practicality.
