i agree. it's all big fun to dream about the Knicks getting the 1, 2 or 3rd ping pong balls but the REALITY is, as you say, that the Knicks have absolutely no chance on getting either ping pong ball.

the knicks 9 times out of 10 won't even draft anyone. basically if there is a team that inquires about getting the knicks pick with a reasonable offer, i'm willing to bet that Layden will get rid of the pick.

i see shawn bradley, greg ostertag, antonio davis, dale davis, kevin willis, dikembe mutombo on the time clock...

....and not the knicks 1st round pick.

I see your reasoning behind this thread, but it seems like it's been so long since the Knicks had a real break in the draft, our time has to come again soon.

It is a shame that just a few years ago, we were walking about playoff victiories and a possible title- now the convo is the far-fetched hope of getting the #1 lottery pick...
