- The Eisley, S. Anderson trade..bought them here for 7 and 8 mil per respectively.
- The Luc Longley, Travis Knight and Glen Rice trade for Ewing with one year left on his contract - The Mark Jackson for Chris Childs (I think)trade..bringing Jackson back.. - The Rory Sparrow, Ken "the animal" Bannister, Cummings, Ray Williams, Louis Orr, etc era.. - Trading Clyde - Giving Eisley burn over Ward - Not drafting Amare - Trading Strickland for Cheeks who was dead on his feet with no legs left..Strickland went on to play like 17 years after that..I remember an interview with him saying Pitino said he would never start in this league - 12 years of Ewing in his prime and the best compliment we could do is an aging Kiki, Ro Blackman, Harper and Cheeks.. - Layden [Edited by - holfresh on 08-09-2007 11:57 PM] |

Rick pitino said rod Strickland would never start? He must have gotten that mixed up with his coaching career.

1. Trading Clyde to Cleveland. 2. Losing the 1972 finals to Lakes 3. Losing to the Celts in 1974 playoffs. 4. Ewings "Finga" roll miss. 5. Bernard blowing his knee out. That was his knick demise. 6. Spencer Haywoods coke habit. 7. Al Bianchi's existance. 8. Not shooting OJ in the Bronco right away and the preemtive view of him over game 5 against Rockets. 9. Riley kept going to Starks. 10. PJ's midget toss. 11. Luther "Tickey" Burden not living up to his cool nickname and afro size. 12. Knicks took the money instead of accepting Dr. J from the Nets. |

game 7 houston for me. just devastating. that was our championship and we blew it. just left it on the table. horrifying. disgusting. also negated all the talk about how we "woulda" so many times in the 90's if not for jordan. uh, no.

1 1994 Game 7
2 1994 Game 6 3 pointer blocked- 3 1997 the stupid brawl 4 Trading Ewing for Glenn Rice et al 5 Houston's 100 Million 6 Charles Smith 7 Reggie's 8 seconds All those were true heartbreaks- and this sort of non- era that we're in now is not nearly as painful as when the team was really good, but not as good as we thought/hoped. The Isiah years are annoying and often ugly, but not heartbreaking like the 90's, although if we had given up Oden or Durant this past draft that would have been number one. If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

Posted by martin:Posted by Nalod: Me too, Martin. I was screaming WTF! I remember my father was going nuts too. Just another reason why I hate Tom Brokaw. The idiot kept apologizing but wouldn't go back to the game. LOL, I remember the press conference being covered on MSG and one of the questions for Riley was to explain what happen during the game because most fans didn't get a chance to see the game. Another smartass asked him if OJ should have turned right instead of left at an interception. Riley was not amused. NBC took a lot of heat from the NBA because of that. I think that was factored in their desire to be on a sports channel. I don't like to play bad rookies , I like to play good rookies - Mike D'Antoni

The Camby trade was bad when it happened and got worse with every day that passed after that.
Alan Hahn:
Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)
