The only thing that really pisses me off is when the subway is pulling in just as you're walking down the steps and the a-hole walking in front of you refuses to move any faster and you inevitably miss the train.

I don't know if anyone hates this but I was sitting on the subway the other day and there was a little space between the guy I was next to and myself. So this lady and a guy get on the train and do you know this jerk basically pushed in front on this woman and squeezed his big ass next to me. Than he sat with his legs all spread a total asshat.

Ugh I hate the subway but sorry but your day sounds like fun having some lady's cottage cheese rub against your arm.

It's a tough decision guys have to make nowadays. I open a door for a lady and she rushes by me without a thank you as if opening that door was my job. Later on, I have to give my seat up to that same lady. The question for guys becomes, do I continue to do the gentlemanly thing, not be acknowledged and stand and be tired. Or do I knock her asse down and rest my feetsies. I go back and forth on this one.

That's weird. When I do that, the women usually say "thanks." Sometimes they don't, but I don't sweat it. I don't do it for the thanks. I do it because that's the way my girlfriend trained me.

Maybe it's the way you do it? Maybe you're holding the door in a passive-aggressive way, like you resent doing it. The women detect this, so they don't acknowledge you. I don't know what you're doing wrong. I guess I'd have to see it happen.

We should have a training session.

This is how resentful I am. The other day I was traveling through Boston with my lady. There was one seat left on the T. Naturally she assumed it was her seat and sat in it. She put my son on her lap and relaxed. I felt so slighted. She didn't even say thank you for being a great husband and father and allowing us to sit. I told her that I thought I saw gum on the seat and that it was probably stuck to her shorts. She got up, I sat down, grabbed my son, smiled and relaxed. It was a long train ride for her that day my friends.

Wait were not even talking about the worst seats in the world Airplane seats holy mother of God those seats are the absolute worst.

I don't know if you work in the city but if you do why not take the NJ trains those are significantly better and more comfortable. I have a station like two blocks from my house so whenever I have to go into the city I just take that and the rides is so much easier and less hassle.

o man, those airplane seats in coach are a killer... before i go overseas again i'm gonna make sure i build up enough miles for an upgrade... God help you if you're stuck in the back row by the bathrooms.

bitty, i work in the flatiron district, but i commute from staten island, so it's either i take the train to the ferry to the subway, or i pay the $5 to sit on the express bus & konk out for an hour or so until i get to work... luckily these types of episodes only happen to me about once every other month or so... i'm usually the inconsiderate a-hole that falls asleep on the bus sprawled out on 2 seats so no one even thinks about sitting next to me. lol.

Hey some of us do say thank you. With my ex even after we had been dating for awhile whenever he held doors I always said thank you. Thats the way I was brought up whenever I came home from a friend's house my mother always asked me "did you say thank you"?

Just once a week? What is it with these slow people? Can't they step aside and let us faster people through?

I do the same thing on the train I always throw my bag on the seat next to me.

That's what I hate - when people put a bag on the seat next to them to discourage others from sitting.

hahahahahahaha, that is spectacular Bip.

Here's something worse than not getting a thank you for holding a door. Guys and girls and aliens alike. When you are walking in a large group or something, go up to a door entrance, you hold the door, and everyone just walks through like robots, not even aknowledging your presence (Not that I demand it) and don't even bother taking the door. They just walk through like it was God himself holding the door (And they don't even thank him, even though it wasn't him.)

It's not that chicks are freaking stupid. It's not that guys are freaking stupid, it's that all people in general are freaking stupid, and generally speaking, nobody chooses to take an initiative. I'd like to know why.

Next time that happens, try just walking away after everyone goes in. See if they notice your absence.

("Hey - where's the doorman?")

They might not be able to get back out.

Maybe I'll just open it for myself and close it before everyone else can get in, and they'll think the building is closed. That would be sick.

I hate it when theres a slow-poke walking behind me and i have to hold the door open for them while they take their sweet ass time to get there.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Your definition of Mall Walkers is incorrect btw. My sister used to work at the mall, and the people who work there, say Mall Walkers are people who go to the mall very very early in the morning. I'm not sure if that's the complete definition, but it's most of it. You need a new word Bip.

how about when there's 3 fatties with shopping bags swaying their greezy arms back & forth, flip flopping their open toe sandals with they hammer time nasty ass toes out in plain view, clogging up the sidewalk sauntering & taking their sweet ass time to get whereever they be a gettin', completely oblivious to the gridlock they're causing in back of them... i can't stand that... i wanna plow them over with a bulldozer!

EDIT: Bip beat me to it... lol.

Sounds like the heat is making folk grumpy!

Guys and gals, take the high road and keep being nice and polite. Its about good karma and paying it forward. If we stop because we don't get enough kudos then thats not what its about.

In the long run your rewarded by perhaps making some ones day who maybe having one a lot worse than yours!
