The dunk I was talking about, I remember Allan doing it and actually for the second time in his career where I saw some emotion(the shot being the first). I think he flexed and then gave that goofy half smile that he does. Even Latrell got a kick out of it.

there was that time in game 6 of the ECF vs. the Pacers when he went off on Reggie for 30+ underneath the basket after he hit that last layup in traffic where he showed emotion... that & the shot vs. Miami were my favorite Allan Houston moments... after the game he was walking around w/the EC Champions hat on & doing the LJ thing with his arms to honor his injured teammate.

I have that on tape and you have just inspired me to watch it again. Great moment. As much of a pansy as he was (that was for Allanfan) he did provide me with a couple great memories.

One of my favorite Ewing dunks came in a big game against the dominant Jordan/Pippen/Rodman Bulls. We were playing them tough and the Garden was rocking. We finished with a flourish at the end of the second quarter. A flustered Rodman fired down a hail Mary pass downcourt off a made basket to give the Bulls a chance to score with the few seconds remaining in the half. Ewing intercepted the pass at halfcourt, took a few mighty dribbles and took off from damn near the free thrown line and dunked it one handed over Rodman at the buzzer.

Balkman's dunk over Devin "flopping bitch" Harris against Dallas last season is also way up there. Ariza had an awesome dunk on a fastbreak against the Bulls at the Garden that punctuated a big run and had the Garden off its rocker.

Bip, it's a wonder how we can recollect such great Knick memories, considering we're all Celtic fans on this forum.

How about Patrick's dunk on two broken legs against Mourning in Game 7. Great way to go out.

Who cares that he dunked it? Two points is two points.

I like some of the new dunks, but because we were so bad when they happen there is no feeling behind them. I have a hard time getting excited. They are cool to watch but not exciting at all.

That Ariza dunk was one of my favorites. The Knicks won that game, but the garden went insane after that dunk. Too had that was during the 23 win season.

Not to change the subject but Jr Rider and Shawn Kemp have to be up there as the two biggest wastes of NBA ability in the last 20 years.

nothing will ever trump the Starks dunk until a Knick jams on our most hated rival in the NBA Finals.

I have to give the best Knicks dunk to Camby over Mutombo in the 99 playoffs though. Just because he took off from so far away, threw it down over the best shot blocker of all time, and it all just came out of NOWHERE. You see him at the start of his move and you figure he's gonna pop a J or pass it off. You have no friggin idea he's about to throw down an all time dunk. That play also sort of an encapsulated how we dominated Atlanta in that series.

For me, it's still Starks. The opponent, the man, the game, the situation just can't be matched.

Atlanta actually had a pretty good team that year. It's crazy how we just blew through them like that. I guess we just caught them off guard.

Pacers/Heat suck btw.

Kemp at least was a very good player for a # of years & helped his team go deep in the playoffs playing w/Gary Payton before he turned into a coke fiend & let himself get out of shape... JR Rider is probably the worst waste of NBA talent i've ever seen... Darius Miles & Tim Thomas are honorable mentions.

I agree that Darius Miles is up there, but Tim Thomas? What are you talking about? Tim Thomas is a highly accomplished individual. In his time here he was clearly able to make us younger and more athletic. You can't downplay that type of impact.
