Yikes, don't like this deal if it goes down. I don’t want Artest on my team, not with Randolph already on it and Balkman ready on the wings.

But relative to cap considerations, if we are including Jeffries this may ultimately save us $s if Artest doesn't work out and we don't resign him.

Thomas is expected to be included in the trade as well to make it work.

What is Isiah's problem with Nate? The guy talks about wanting to start to win games and he is ready to ship him off.

Only way we can include Jeffries is if we take on another salary. On net, the savings wouldn't be much. Either the difference between Jeffries and John Salmons salaries (they both run another 3 years) or some money saved by having Kenny Thomas or Shareef running 1 fewer year that JJ

If we can trade Jeffries for a player with a 3 year or less contract, then the deal makes more sense and Thomas has more value to us than Jeffries. If Artest were sane, this would be a no-brainer, but I have the feeling we are going to give up Nate for a 1 year rental of Artest (not that Artest will want to leave but that we probably will not want him back by the end of the season).

All this is telling me Anucka is about to get her's in the harrassment case PAID IN FULL

Zeke had to make a splash before dolan gives up the cash !

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Dolan must be serious about not just cutting players anymore because there is no way that Dickau or Jones wouldn't just be waive. And it is clear he is intent on keeping Nichols.

Kenny Thomas would be some nice up front/ rebounding insurance when we have to give up Lee and Curry for Kobe.

We would cut Thomas, as a 2-for-3 trade leaves us with one more roster spot to fill, and we would be stacked at sf.

My guess it would be one of the remaining expiring contracts instead of Thomas.

KThomas could be a useful backup PF. It would also be more economical to cut someone else, like Jerome James.

Talent wise getting RonRon is great for the Knicks, unfortunately we all know you can't base anything with RonRon on just talent. There is some real heavy baggage coming along and I worry about the chemistry with just Randolph on the team, add in RonRon and it could be like a volcano ready to explode.

The thing is, RonRon is a very good basketball player and just the type of player the Knicks are missing. Quite the conundrum.

Or Malik Rose, for that matter.

Kenny Thomas is a PF..and we have Z Bo, D Lee, R Morris, Chandler (C/PF) so why bring him here. Think the best offer would be Balkman, Nate, Jared Jeffries, and Dan Dickau.

You know at this stage -- what's the point of having a team that's half-crazy? If this is true, I'm proud of Isiah for realizing that us New Yorkers demand 100% full-on lunacy.

You're right. At this point, let just go all in with personality disorders.

Interesting if Zack and RonRon will get at each other who will lose the eye socket?

Chandler is not a center and has a ways to go before he can be a proven PF. Malik would be the odd man out if Thomas is brought in here. No way should the Knicks trade Balkman for Lee.
