What did Okur do that was so great? Play Ole defense on Marbury to allow a last second layup?

Okur : 17.6ppg on 15.9 shots per game-46%FG-7.2rpg-2.0apg-.5bpg
Curry: 19.5ppg on 12.5 shots per game-58%FG-7.1rpg-0.9apg-.5bpg

If we're gonna include players that are also PFs, then here...

Amare
Dwight
Yao
Camby
Shaq
Ben Wallace
Okafor
Chandler/Curry
Chandler/Curry
Okur

You can make an arguement about Big Z over Okur but I'm honestly not a fan of either player.

Shaq is old and not close to the same player he once was and probably doesn't have the ability to do the things he once was. He's falling fast now. Top 5 is being generous.

Yao could be too high too, but I like his game and how he's become a fluent low post scorer. He's just a real good player. I hope he doesn't suffer without Van Gundy.

Camby, to me, is the best defensive big man in the game.

Why does that bother you? Because we traded Marcus for nothing?

Camby 11.2pts 11.7rbs 3.2ass 1.2stls 3.3blks 1.74tos
Curry 19.5pts 7.0rbs 0.8ass 0.4stls 0.5blks 3.64tos

It bothers me that we don't have marcus injured or not, he is a good passer, and if he is blocking 3 shots a night how many do you think he is alter probably close 6-10, where eddy may alter 2 a night........

Camby would be ideal next to zach

Actually I would guess a few of them want him at 35 and will still claim Jackie Butler is better.

OR curry. Exactly what some of us were saying would have been a better fit than getting another scoring option.

Right, being behind the defensive player of the year is an insult to Mr. No Defense. Sorry, putting Curry ahead of Camby is absurd! While we're at it, Jamal Crawford is better than Kobe, right?

Another thing, Camby can play defense in the low post and on the perimeter. He used to guard T-Mac when he was on the Knicks. And his help D is great. And on offense, he moves very well without the ball, cuts to the basket, hits open shots, sets picks and is a good passer.

Curry is good at one thing and that's low post scoring. So what bothers you tfk?

That one thing is more important than all other aspects of the game combined are!

And that is why Curry's teams have won so much, especially in the playoffs.

What bothers me is that my center is supposed to play with his back to the basket, score points in the paint, camby does neither, curry was the best in the NbA at points in the paint. In other words there are forwards that can do what camby does, none that can do what curry does.. This is why I have the problem.....

When did hoops become a 1 man game. What was KGs playoff record the last 2 years?

To add to that, Curry helped that young Bulls team get to the playoffs and if he didn't have to sit out, they probably would have beaten the Wiz...

So for a center, scoring points in the paint (or scoring with your back to the basket--it's really only one thing even if you list it twice), is more important than all other facets of the game COMBINED?

Why rely on a sample size of two years when these two veterans have had careers to judge them by? (It wouldn't be that you needed to reduce the sample size to fit your argument, would it?)

LOL......

You can laugh but believe it or not this time last off season there were some Knicks fans saying Jackie Butler would have a better 2006-2007 season than Curry would.

Its to illustrate the point that no one player carrys his team to the playoffs alone. Not KG, not Patrick and not Jordan.

KG has been out of the 1st round once in like 11 or 12 years. Curry never has in 6. I dont see a huge difference.
