If they don't at least make it to the finals this year, one of them will be gone( probably not KG ) the window of oppertunity for this little group is as small as i ever seen.

A) Miami's window (now firmly shut) was smaller.
B) If they make the ECF this year, why wouldn't all three big guys be back? Where else they going?
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I love the logic here, it's laughable that people don't think this will work. And saying pierce and allen aren't all that good makes you a ****ing idiot period......

Garnett is always in the playoffs with grap, allen has taken a team to the conference finals as has pierce. Garnett might be the second best passer on the knicks, and averaged more points, rbs, blks than anyone on our team last year and is actually a two way player. They also have the best shooter in the nba and pierce is as good as tmac.

Career Numbers
TMAC 22.4pts 6.3rbs 4.6ass 1.4spg 1.0blks
PP 23.6pts 6.5rbs 3.9ass 1.7spg 0.7blks

And Paul Pierce is better than Tony Parker by the way, Ray Allen is better than Manu and KG would have as many championships as duncan with the same supporting cast, and you can't really say duncan is much better. So i don't see why everyone is trashing the deal considering all have at least 3 good years left.......

Career Numbers
Duncan 21.8pts 11.9rbs 3.2ass 2.4blks 2.8tos
Garnett 20.5pts 11.4rbs 4.5ass 1.7blks 2.6tos

And KG came out of high school duncan four years out of college and would have better overal numbers, he is the better rebounder leading the league a few times.......

And it's a lot easier to get quality role players than you think as boston will likely grab two very good role players to plug in

it's not about the stars or the numbers - its whether they compliment each other and what types of guys they are. Pierce, KG and Allen are all top competitors who play hard all the time. I think their games will compliment one another's pretty nicely.

The Celts are going to be good. Damn good. We'll see how it plays out, but right now they have to be the favorites to represent the East in the Finals.

It comes down to Ainge's ability to find the right role players. Obviously stars are not a problem.

They'll definitely have a nice selection but GM"s have messed that opportunity up in the past.
