More to the point, can he dunk from behind the three point line? If not, I'm highly disappointed.

Some people keep wanting to make like he is another Curry. He isnt. I think like 59% of Zachs shots are clasified as jump shots and like 38% as close shots. 1% are classified as dunks. Not that all these stats are 100% accurate.

Curry has around 60% close in and 14% classified as dunks. 79% are classified as inside.

[Edited by - COSSUCKS on 07-26-2007 12:49 PM]

So basically he's like Curry except he can shoot jumpshots

No just because Zach scores some inside doesnt make him like Curry with a jumpshot.

Curry plays above the rim. Zach doesnt.
But is it a *meaningful* difference if Zach's low post points come from shooting and Eddy's from dunking? Does it in any way affect the game?

The thread was about Dunking. Dont make it another of your Curry bashing threads.

I guess that means there is no meaningful difference to answer my question.

I dont see you make any legit questions. You just show your obessive jealousy. Bonn I know you off this board. It is not Currys fault that you are 5 foot 3 inchs tall. Get over it!

You two are quite silly, and you entirely missed each other's points.

So, I'll translate.

Bonn: A point is a point and if you hit a jumper, dunk or hit two free throws, they're mathmatically equivalent.
COSSUCKS: Dunking is different than a jump shot, because it's more exciting to the fans and sometimes turns the tide of a game.

I think this is what you two were going for, instead of your silly insults back and forth.

Thats funny Bonn because from what I remember you used to be a bit pretty chunky for a 5 foot 3 inch guy.

I was at one point down to 6% body fat. My guess is I'm probably closer to 10% now. I'm 5'5" by the way. Don't cheat me out of even more inches!

I have no idea who he is and if he thought I was ever chunky, he has never seen me

That's close to what I was saying. I wouldn't lump all 2 pt shots together but I wouldn't make a big difference between low post shots and low post dunks. I don't buy into the idea that one dunk changes the momentum of games any more than other 2 point baskets. Or if it does, it's extremely rare. I can't think of one such momentum changing dunk in Eddy's six year career anyway.

I don't think dunks by centers change the momentum of games so much. However a breakaway 360 dunk by an exciting athletic player often does. If centers did 360 athletic dunks, I think they would change the momentum, as well... just because the fans go wild when that happens.

Zach will dunk if he feels like it. Much like LJ. He will finish most shots close to the basket. 2pts is 2pts. That's why he is a 20pt scorer.

shareef's best year rebounding can't be lower than his career average.

On the rise in which way? That he's going to surpass his previous season stats considerably. If so at what expense to the team? Is Zach going to be 25/12/3/1/1 what? Zach is a stat player nothing more.

I could say a lot but I dont want to cause Martin problems or Bonn nightmares. He isnt a bad little guy. Just misguided.
